Doesn’t normally bother me but saddle’s right every year the kit situation is a shambles. Late, missing sizes, stock outs, staff clueless.
It does cost the club money.
was planning on getting a kit as a gift for a nephews christening in Ireland this weekend.
No stock in shop (sold out in about an hour on Friday apparently) staff no idea when anymore coming in, no option to order online so will be getting something else. Rant over😁

I'm sure you can provide your nephew with a suitable Christmas present.

The club haven't got the control that some people think. The solutions are always very simple to people who have little or no experience in the business or retail world.

Problem solving without context or constraints is the lifeblood of the Coventry City online community.

I bet you're a Hobo because you haven't bought a house? If I were you, I'd prioritise that mate.

I have owned a house out right for years and probably have more savings than you. I retired at 56.

But keep the cheap shots coming about my nickname Hobo. I can live with it all day long and everyday.

You totally missed the joke Hobo... I think I understand that names online aren't literal pal.

I'll be sure to find time to send more jokes over your head though while tending to the garden in my palatial estate - which I retired to at 42.

Joke? You asked me to prioritise something I had already achieved. On the basis of my nickname. I doubt you could send anything over my head.

Display some real humor and I will laugh. Like I have laughed along with lots of posters.

Just read it again carefully, I was agreeing with your original post! Perhaps you’re in a noisy environment - it might be hard to focus on the words over the sound of your early retirement.

But the club could add in penalties to the contract for such problems occurring, or even threaten to change supplier if they don't improve.

Perhaps some of the new appointments at the club will improve things. The shirts production arrangements and contracts will be sorted well in advance. So they won't have had a chance to impact on it yet. Also the contract may not be done on an annual basis.

For everyone that was commenting about the site crashing during the home kit launch, Liverpool's has also just crashed on launch of their new kit.... Clearly not too uncommon then!

I’m not usually one to moan but the club shop is a joke at the minute. No shirt personalisation available until next week, and as far as I can tell that’s not been mentioned anywhere so I plod up from fucking Devon because they don’t do personalised shirts online only to pay £90 for a kids kit I can’t get personalised.

And there are no GK kits in store at all and the kids working in there seem to have just woken up and can barely string together a sentence.

if you want kids to get excited about supporting our club you have to actually let them get the stuff they want because they can walk into any shitty sports shop in the country and get a liverpool shirt or a Man City shirt or even a fucking Leicester shirt.

Isn't it because squad numbers aren't finalised til next week?

Shirts finally arrived this morning. The badge on my lads goalie shirt is so wonky. Shite quality, particularly for the price.

mine came this morning too. Badge on the pro shirt is hardly any better than the normal version, still at risk of peeling off. Bring back embroidered!!

That is so frustrating, hope they can get it sorted for you quickly! Begs the question who is doing quality checks on these products before they are sent out! I’ve seen someone post on X the other day that the monzo logo was upside down 🙄

So. As I said would be likely - the club have announced another "partner" (sleeve sponsor)
So will replica's going forward have these on!?

Possible short sponsor to follow!?!

That’s a good point, you’d assume that this would be the case!

I wonder if they’ll bring out the ‘XL Motors’ edition for an extra fiver, or you can pay to have them ironed on in the club shop 😏

It makes you wonder why there was such a delay for an existing (and local) sponsor. Haven’t they featured somewhere on the kit for the past few years now?

Mercury was last year, along with G&R scaffolding on the shorts.
XL have sponsored/been a partner for quite a few years - apart from last year - from the horses mouth, cost was too high!

Strange that these have only just been sorted.

Does anybody know if the fit of the pro shirt is slimmer than the cheaper version?
Can't compare properly, but just got them and the keeper shirt feels slimmer than the pro. But then we've had different fits between the kits before. No hiding the spare tyre in the white away kit

Some of the match day range is really nice
I agree. I like that they’re a bit out there pattern wise. Bumped the prices up quite a bit though. £135 for a tracksuit and £80 for a rain jacket with a stuck on badge is taking the piss… will probably still get them 😆

Yeah I know that feeling. I have to turn away from the mirror at the gym when wearing the white one as its too dispiriting. 😂

Its a similar story with this year's home.

They only put it on the post about the new kit going on sale tomorrow that I saw and that was about an hour or so before it was closing.

I actually think our Comms has gone downhill as we have become more successful.

I'm all for smart comebacks by the admin on twitter but at the moment I think the standards have dropped slightly from what were admittedly high levels at least in terms of communication before.

Thought this was pretty interesting. Didn't realise how much Nike are slowly moving away from football kits (at least in the UK). The curse of the Tesco bin bag shirt
