Pretty much confirmed, I think.
Power play by Red Bull to keep Max onboard, as far as I've undersood it's fairly common knowledge him and Jos wanted Horner gone.
I'd feel sorry for him, but he's a grade A tosser, so I don't.

No secret it's been fairly toxic at the top of Red Bull since Mateschitz snr died. They've lost of a top people to the likes of McLaren and Aston Martin. Similar to Mercedes (who lost a lot of good people a few years ago) it can be costly.
Does seem to be a combination of internal power struggle and an attempt to keep Max by offering him a bigger say/control in team management (that doesn't seem a smart decision).

As much as I think he’s a tosser it’s a big decision to sack him mid season given everything they have is down to him just to placate a driver that might piss off anyway.
Start of next season there could be no Horner, no Max means basically no redbull.

It's always felt inevitable that he was going to get pushed out.
The drip-drip effect of Max constantly telling the world (over the radio) the car was hopeless/undriveable etc couldn't have helped. Whether that was calculated or not we'll probably find out further down the line.

Also shout out to most of the top 10. Both Haas, a Williams, Alpine, RB, Sauber is great to see. Hopefully a manic sprint to come.

I watched the F2 race earlier, it was really odd. Around Blanchimont, it was almost bone dry. Then literally round the corner into the chicane and around the pits, it was absolutely tipping it down. I know Spa has a reputation for having different weather at different parts of the track, but that was bizarrely localised even for Spa.
Can't imagine a more scary experience on the calendar than taking Eau Rouge/Radillon in the wet with blinding spray, especially on the first few laps when everyone's bunched up. Only takes one car to drop it and you've got a major issue.

That battery issue on lap 1 was pretty huge too.

3 errors in the chase cost him about 6 seconds.
Fortunately her husband is an F1 fan and has a ridiculously huge tv so we're all watching whilst the women are messing about in the garden.

Great drive by Lando under immense pressure, argument for his best yet for me, except for the start.
Leclerc must have been carrying an issue to fall off that much. His pace just evaporated.
