Is your cup always half empty ?And we could have finished 7th last game of the seasonnot great for a team hoping to get promoted ?
File under ‘Mowbray to Rotherham’ nonsense. Are you sure !!
Might live to regret that comment in next 48 hours or so.
Never, just being honest, 3rd or 4th this season and we’ll go upIs your cup always half empty ?
I think Lampard wants us to start fast this season so can see us in the mix all season . Couple of decent signings , few scrappy wins a bit of luck here and there and who knows but we will be in the top 6 again this season hopefully top 2Never, just being honest, 3rd or 4th this season and we’ll go uphow’s that

I don't think we'll see any permanent forward signing while we've got 4 on the books , think we'll see a high profile loanee who can play across the front threeTrying to think of an available CF & CH who‘s good enough, that’s if we’re looking ?
Hopefully just waiting for prem teams to tidy up their squads, and get a loan inI don't think we'll see any permanent forward signing while we've got 4 on the books , think we'll see a high profile loanee who can play across the front three
Can see a top signing at centre back though
I would test Cardiff's resolve with Salech personallyTrying to think of an available CF & CH who‘s good enough, that’s if we’re looking ?
Manager ‘mark robins’ article is definitely on the ball![]()

I think all of our strikers work better being played through on the ground but the tactics FL plays seems intent on getting the ball wide and then getting crosses in. But none of our strikers ever look close to getting on the end of them.Course they could but I don’t think we play to Simms strengths.
Over this preseason I’ve seen him call for a through ball only to watch us pass back or to the wings instead. All our strikers imo thrive on being more direct but we seem resistant to play those balls under Lampard for whatever reason..
I think it’s a big reason him and BTA were doing well in the 5-3-2
Completely agree. This is where I think a new striker is needed as I doubt Lampard will change to accommodate the players he has in that role.I think all of our strikers work better being played through on the ground but the tactics FL plays seems intent on getting the ball wide and then getting crosses in. Only time our strikers looked even half decent was when we played BTA and Simms as a two. But since FL installed his 4-3-3 none have looked good at all bar Wright's hat-trick. A decent manager looks at the players he has and picks tactics and formations that suit them. He seems to be picking his tactics and formation then trying to fit the players he has into it.

Not going to put names out there but imo, a target man comfortable with his back to goal would make a big difference for us imo
So they started in 4th with a big gap to the rest?Despite their start they ended up in the same place yeah?
Nah, seems like a solid source for news. From 4 weeks ago:Manager ‘mark robins’ article is definitely on the ball![]()
Yeah I think one would have to go.I think we only see a new striker or even two if Wright goes. We aren’t going to spend enough to put him or EMC on the bench IMO
Who were you expecting? Joao Felix?Anyone thought Lampard would have had more pull or just me?![]()
This is bedwetting at its finestAnyone thought Lampard would have had more pull or just me?![]()
I’m not sure. Rushworth and KKH both talked about Lampard as a pull and I think both wouldnt of been short of options.Anyone thought Lampard would have had more pull or just me?![]()
Perhaps Brondby have another few million knocking about…Yeh I think that's all we need really. Sadly I do think we'd have to move a CF on but I'm not sure who'd pay what we want for any of them.
Obviously if MvE goes we'd need a RB too.

Yeah I think one would have to go.
If it was up to me I’d look to sell Simms but would want the striker sorted first which runs the risk of having five strikers on the books.
Pretty sure Robins wanted KKH and he turned Stoke and Boro down.Lampards pull got us Grimes, KKH, Rushworth…
Robins would not have got Grimes and KKH in my opinion.
Yeah I get that, and agree it would need the squad tweaking, to maybe put wright back on the let wing but then EMC misses out.I doubt you’d get enough for Simms to go and get someone better and they’d want to start which they wouldn’t if wright is still here.

That makes no sense when he got us players like MvE and Wright.Robins would not have got Grimes and KKH in my opinion.
