Woke up this morning and I hate the poorIts about time we protested against Bling.
I think the fact we are signing players for significant fees and on 3/4 year deals suggests there isLess incentive for those potential new supporters (students/youngsters) or those thinking of returning after a while to come back.
He definitely hates kids.
Smacks (again) of a short term-ist approach to grab cash and milk it for all it's worth. ("pre-season" training kits another example).
There's absolutely no longer term strategy in play here.

Tbf the 3/4 year deals are good business sense as they're assets on the balance sheet and makes the club more valuable over the longer term if he does want to sell. In fairness to him, that's one thing he's very good at along with negotiation it seems.I think the fact we are signing players for significant fees and on 3/4 year deals suggests there is
Not here so much, one or two, but quite a few on twitterNo one is defending it are they? This is the most backlash I've seen against Doug by a long way.
The only thing I'd say is that lots of noise are generally from those who have an agenda or don't go anyway. In this case though I do believe he's got it wrong. Not here so much, one or two, but quite a few on twitter
I'm a season ticket holder, I go to way more gigs in a year than I do football matches. Just looked at some of the tickets I've got for upcoming things. Being charged £35 to £40 for the small room at the Institute that holds a couple of hundred people!I don't get the comparison with concert tickets. That's something you do occasionally, football is weekly for most. Yes some folk watch more bands, but not top expensive bands every week. There is no justification.
Fill the ground, the atmosphere is so much better when the away end sells out too. They'll spend the missing revenue on pints, pies and programmes.
Is there a list of all clubs matchday ticket prices for next season. Would be interesting to compare. Now we announce the highest prices outside of the PL
Guarantee we willWe're getting a bit carried away as a club. We introduced and charged for a st waiting list before we'd sold out and then didn't sell out anyway. Now we announce the highest prices outside of the PL, probably in Europe outside of a few elite clubs. All this at a club that last season had only 5000 home non corporate tickets to sell for each game and managed that 4 times out of 23 all season, at much lower pricing. People saying we'll set out for Blues at these prices, not a chance.
It is not feasible for some people, and season tickets are not allowed to be shared. They can get fucked. Some helpful advice from the club for anyone struggling with these prices![]()

£100 bet to charity we don't.Guarantee we will

100% we sell out the Birmingham game. And that's part of the problem. We're getting a bit carried away as a club. would be if the owner was spending moneyDevils advocate is this the cost of being a top end championship side especially one trying to be sustainable unlike Derby for example under Mel Morris?
I don’t like the prices especially for the kids and think they should be lowered to £25.
Ultimately if there's a ton of empty seats at the first few games the rest of the season will be at the lower categories. However if there's a mad scramble for tickets and sold out game we will see more games at the higher categories.
Having 5 different categories across 3 different zones gives them flexibility to react to sales.
Not defending it, but that's not true. Other clubs in this league will be charging a lot more for their first home game of the season than we are.
If we sell out how is it a problem100% we sell out the Birmingham game. And that's part of the problem.
You're in a very fortunate position that you are able to afford both and I'd certainly put you down as the exception rather than the norm. Even for those who would like to do both, I imagine it's a choice they have to make and being selective. Football can still win if the perceived entertainment value on the pitch matches.I'm a season ticket holder, I go to way more gigs in a year than I do football matches. As I said there's two arguments you can make. From Kings side the argument will be that ticket prices over the last few years have not reflected the demand and have not increased inline with other events. The counter argument is that the cost of football tickets should be supressed but I think to get King to do one of his famed u-turns you're going to need to add more to the argument than simply saying you don't like it. The encouraging kids argument would be countered with the club saying there are cheaper tickets available in the family zone.
Not saying I agree with the prices but I can definitely see the argument King will make for it.
