Butland would 100% be an upgrade on what’s currently available to us in the GK area
The only good thing about signing Butland is there's lots of puns to do with his name. Otherwise he is no better than what we already have.

What a dream team of GK's it would be. Wobbly Wilson, Calamity Collins and Bungling Butland. What could go wrong.....

I've not seen much of Butland recently, but he was a decent goalkeeper at one point. Based on back then he'd be a big improvement on Wilson & Collins, as I say, can't speak much for what he's been like at Rangers.

He is a poor keeper and had a awful season for Rangers , he was a decent keeper once about 10 years ago.

Feck me, first Brewster now Butland... Has someone opened up an old FM save and got nostalgic over the wonderkids 🙄

They both strike me as players that make a living off some perceived potential that never happened. Both have inflated reputations from stuff they never quite achieved. I think we are way too smart to make those kind of signings nowadays.

Swindon Town seem like they are going to have a real tasty strike force in League Two.

Just signed a 22 year old who scored 127 goals in 91 appearances in non league, will be interesting to see if he can make the step up

Multiple clubs including Norwich, Sheff Utd, Wolves & Man Utd are monitoring this 18 year old they have called Botan Ameen who can play on the wing, they are looking for close to £1.5m… would rather us take this sort of gamble than gambling on Matondo if he could eventually become a bigger player

Then they have Harry Smith who banged in 15 goals for them last season and Charlie Austin who banged in 12 goals with Ian Holloway managing them

That's a decent crew!

Wilson was seen as a good GK for us at one stage. But no way do I want to see Wilson as No.1 with Collins to come in if he gets another injury.

Butland is a strange one. Constantly makes mistakes but redeemed himself several times with great saves from the follow on. But how can you forgive a GK for punching the ball into his own net when not under massive pressure.

Particularly enjoyed this update from transfercentre9. Seems like York were in the market for a sh*t stopper last year. Could have finally found a home for Collins if we’d seen this earlier.
