Viktor Moving on (34 Viewers)

Vik will get a move but not sure Arsenal are going to be played in this process. They play hard and will have other options that are easier to get done. Vik may have to kiss a few arses at Utd or stay at Sporting.

Either way he has some bridges to build and may be he should hire better advisors. Although he needs to grow up, as he acts like a naughty kid who cant get his way when he thinks the grass is greener.

What options?

Unless they want to pay £100m+ and/or significant wages way above Gyokeres' demands then I'm not sure they do.

Where to though? Sesko was the first choice but they have already moved on from him due to the 100m fee and Isak will cost even more, so what other top class striker would be available?
Isn't Isak a Liverpool target also although Newcastle are talking as though it isn't an issue, don't know how much contract left though?

Anyway I think he's stupid really, one going to work with Arteta and Two coming out with stuff about working for less, better hope it happens because anyway else he ends up will be aware he said/offered it!

Lol people throwing shade at arsenal arteta and vik because the transfer isn't going down exactly how they personally want it too. Childish
2bf - I do think Arteta is massively overrated. If his name was Michael Anderson he’d be managing MK Dons

he experiments thinking he’s Pep then doubles down even though he’s wrong. His inability to push for a striker has cost them the league a couple of times.

playing Merino up top and Haveartz is a car crash

That's BS. He's clearly a v good manager.

You think he planned to have a striker crisis? What ITK do you have to be sure he told arsenal don't buy me a striker?

The if he was English nonsense works both ways. Foreigners get extra scrutiny from average British fan I would say

Because it's Arteta. He loves buying midfielders and defenders for relatively huge sums and ignoring the striker problem thinking that he can play a mid as a false 9. Hopefully by the time he comes round to offering a sum of money Sporting want Vik has already signed for someone else. Would serve him right

But Trossard has delivered more.
I don’t see why they are signing Madueke when they want Eze and Rodrigo… makes no sense.
Continually having Chelsea’s unwanted players. Why not just keep Trossard

Viktor #Gyökeres🇸🇪 hasn’t arrived for training again, #SportingCP🇵🇹 may now fine him. If this continues it may lead to more serious penalties, including termination without compensation. This is exactly what Gyökeres wants but would be a disaster for SCP [Via - @ABolaPT].

Yep... terminating his contract will sort him right out 🙄

Be grateful it's Arsenal & not Man Utd.

They would bid £45 million everyday of the transfer window, whilst being told it's £60 million every day... then bid £80m on deadline day!
Yeah true but it wouldn't be transfer deadline day without Arry in his car telling sky he's just signed Niko Kranjcar and Jermaine Defoe for the 80th time, wonder if this sumer well see Arry telling sky weve finally signed Dolan

I think. the frustration on here is unfamiliarity with top level transfer deals. They always take an age now.
Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd, Newcastle, Chelsea have already signed players with similarly high fees haven't they?

Striker crisis? Hes had it for 2 years. He’s won as many trophies as Ten Hag did and he was hammered.

if Arsenal were to sack him and get say Simeone - they’d win the league.

it’s got nothing to Do with British/foreigner. arteta should have done more instead of moaning about the ball being too round

He's made arsenal one of the best teams in Europe silverware or no silverware

I mean ten haag is a good comparison. He did sin silverware. But did he make man utd a top 5 team in europe? No. Got to look at the bigger picture.

The situation is simple. Sporting have a price that any club needs to pay to get his services. As much as Vik has agreed personal terms and all that with Arsenal it means nothing. Vik is now coming across as a trouble maker.

It’s well documented that he stated his intentions after the P/O final - and we all guessed it’d happen. However now beginning to wonder how much of a bitch he might have been about it.

No one looks good in this situation.

Sporting can stick to their valuation, but like anything in life an asset is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay. And a non playing footballer who's already 27, is a rapidly depreciating asset.

Other top players and agents might be wary of Sporting in future if the owner looks like an awkward customer to deal with.

There was no issue with Vik. The club really admired his honesty around it all.

Don’t believe everything we see in press now - it’s all just a game from all to maximise money vs getting as cheap price as possible.
