How much would a signing on fee be for a La Liga 2 defender? I’m intrigued as don’t know what the average cost of this would be
General rule of thumb is that a free transfer ( Bosman rather than club not wanting to renew ) is that it’s 10-15% cheaper for the club than if they had paid the transfer fee.

The player / agent gets a significant signing on fee and inflated wages in return for the club not paying a transfer fee.

I’m not saying this is true of Brau as I have no idea how much competition there has been for him, but for players with high competition it is not materially cheaper.

...which is how the businessman DK will see it. One out, one in, squad net better. Salaries probably slightly increased
Also. Squad value has (potentially) increased.
Patterson had no sell on value due to his age, but Brau could be worth quite a bit in a years time if he shows good ability.

Dear Granada,

A difficult moment has come for me—I say goodbye to what has been my home for 6 years. I was just a boy, only 17 years old, just starting out in the world of football, full of hope and with one goal: to play at Los Cármenes. It’s been a long journey: Youth Honor Division, B team in 2nd Division B, B team in 2nd RFEF, loan to CF Talavera de la Reina, B team in 1st RFEF, and after much effort, my goal: the 1st team.

It saddens me not to be able to continue, as it was my priority, but due to circumstances beyond our control—and which are not appropriate to explain today—I have to leave…

Today, I just want to say THANK YOU: to my family, friends, all the club’s staff, coaches, teammates, and the fans, who have made all these years much easier.

Now I begin a new chapter. I'm going to a great club with a lot of history. I face it with excitement, drive, and ambition, ready to pursue the dream I’ve had since I was a boy: to play in the English league.

To the city of Granada and to Granada CF, I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart, and a swift return to the 1st division. Hopefully our paths will cross again.

THANK YOU!
Always, ETERNAL FIGHT

So you would happily have 1 left back instead of getting the replacements first? Interesting take. Glad you dont work for them too
I dont have all the information, how do we know contracts arent already signed with another left back and its just not announced?
i truly dont think its worth getting worked up about for exactly that reason.
The people in the recruitment department will do their jobs, and they’re alot better at it than me or you
