James Johnson, co-founder of JL Partners, which conducted the polling, said it showed the president was “very much winning the battle of public opinion when it comes to the protests”.

He told The Telegraph: “People are instinctively on the side of order and the police over what they see as concerning levels of unrest… Right now, the message is well-calibrated and his approach is garnering support.”

Funnily enough The Telegraph excluded the bit of that poll where more people blame the actions of the Whitehouse for the violence than the rioters.

Winning the battle of public opinion indeed.

I don`t know what`s happened to the Telegraph, it used to be a quality paper, albeit right leaning, now it`s just a broadsheet version of the Daily Heil.

trumps numbers are dropping fast. even among republican voters the last week has seen him move into negative net approval figures not just overall but for immigration specifically.

people are waking up to the fact that they're not deporting criminals and illegal immigrants. they're making arbitrary changes and withdrawing status for working tax payers, some of whom have been in the country for years and are married to US citizens and have kids who are US citizens. Having made the changes before people have a chance to get paperwork processed in line with the new requirements they're rounded up and 'disappeared'. You've got ICE turning up in unmarked vehicles, not in any uniform, unwilling to show any identification and taking people. When family members then enquire where they are and what is happening they're met with silence.

People are instinctively on the side of order and the police, except for when their man loses an election.

So the Minnesota terrorist who murdered these Democrats has also vowed to kill anyone taking part in a ‘No Kings’ protest tomorrow.

I take it the Trump sycophants on here will call this what it is?

reports that he had a list of abortion doctors who he wanted to kill as well. if its anything like the trump sycophants on twitter they will claim he's actually a liberal.

This is a reasonable summary of all that has been in the news about Boelter. It does cover his 'hit list' but nothing about killing protestors and the police found some crudely made 'No Kings' posters in his car. Seems to have been in Africa and the Middle East in recent years.

Quick on the pulse to find excuses for this Trump terrorist as expected

He succeeded in getting Minnesota’s ‘No Kings’ protests cancelled. Millions of others still joined protests across the US today regardless.
Seen people use that to claim he's a liberal, he had the flyers as they were likely targets if he hadn't be rumbled

I saw the url and thought “no way he’s posted something not from a far right news source for once”, and then the page loaded and it was Fox News lmao

I see Trumps birthday rally he threw himself is another raging success.
The crowd here appears to be smaller than anticipated. Across Constitution Avenue from the press area, there is a set of largely empty bleachers for special guests and their families.
Also read how this is going to completely fuck all the roads as the tanks are pretty much double the maximum weight limit the roads can withstand.

What excuses? Is there anything factually inaccurate in that report, note I do think the stuff about posters doesn't sound believable.

Here is the latest from the BBC, not radically different though it gives more weight to statements from Waltz and Trump.

Here is another piece with comments about Boelter's evangelical background, politics and an odd text message he is supposed to have sent, this isn't being widely reported as yet.

Honestly, all you seem to want to do is find fault and assign blame, what is wrong with people having different opinions to you? Exasperating.

I simply want you to call this what it is. Yet as it’s a white man killing Democrats you seem to struggle.

Very happy to write what you want about the protests in LA with the childish need to post 🤭 afterwards, but not here?

Not surprised.

You're the only one who mentioned race. 🤭

To be fair I think he’s more internet brained and hyperpartisan than outright racist.

Can't imagine the local Ballymena footy team doing this...

Deflection again ole ole.
Getting worse than Grendel.
But it is true I did not speak once of race and my reply was addressed at a comment that more or less claimed my motivation was racially motivated. I find that offensive but I am also a proponent of free speech so I can live with the fact that the poster is behaving like a twat.

All I did was post some online articles about the Minnesota incident, I made no comment whatever about the attacker's motive, I merely restated a few of the points raised.
