Come on Frankie & Dougie lads. Make it a good one.

A weekend somewhere warm with a decent game chucked in.

We've all got unused Play Off dosh burning a hole in our back pockets now!!

We need to avoid teams like that one that kicked shit out of us and a ridiculously short visit to Germany (was it). Give Nuneaton a miss, as they kick us as well.

What I would like to see.....

Fixtures:
Cheltenham Town (Away)
Date: Earlish July
Location: Whaddon Road, Cheltenham

Walsall FC (Away) Earlish July Bescot Stadium, Walsall
Another local match that will attract fans and help build team chemistry and connection.

Las Palmas (Away) Mid-July Estadio Gran Canaria, Canary Islands A warm-weather trip to face a relegated La Liga side, offering a different style of play.

Tenerife FC (Away) Mid-July Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez Lopez. Similar benefits as Las Palmas, and closr to Las Palmas providing valuable experience against international competition and in front of a good number of sky blues fans.

Coventry City vs. Aston Villa (Home)
A high-profile final friendly that will generate finance, excitement and serve as a significant test for the squad to finish?

To me this plan balances local games with international exposure, ensuring our players are well-prepared for the upcoming season while engaging with fans home and abroad. Could maybe fit in another game at Port Vale or Northampton etc if Lampard.would like to.

Hopefully the club are a bit more open with it now

It is no secret that when Robins was here he wanted to keep it on the downlow until the very last minute, last season when we played in Spain we were actively told to stay away and the game was purposely played behind closed doors, the year before it was announced we were playing Forest at the Pinitar a few days before, presumably to deter loads turning up - Which is fine, he was the manager and if he felt it was right then so be it, but hopefully Frank is a little bit more relaxed

No chance we would play a friendly against Villa

Would like one of the Glasgow clubs again, I have no love for either of them but was a shame we played Rangers at Ibrox during Covid when no one was allowed to go, would have been a good trip and experience

Whoever/wherever we play I hope it's at a proper football stadium again. I have a Derby supporting friend who went to Alicante last year for a friendly and said it was played at a sports complex of sort with only 1 stand (similar to where we played Getafe last season) and he said the atmosphere was pants. I remember seeing a few Sunderland fans say something similar about where they also played in Spain

That will be the one that we played at in previous years, seen us there twice - Once against Forest and once against a French second/third tier side who I can't remember the name of

Stopped in Alicante itself the first time (Benidorm really not my cup of tea) and was good!

Stopped closer to the ground near Torrevieja second time and just so happened the team were also there, got to mix with them and watch a bit of training which was cool

The ground was in the middle of nowhere though and would probably not bother going back if we played there again
