They are absolute shithouses, there was a bald fella and his mate walking up past all the buses pre game, he was slamming on all of them calling everyone in a CCFC shirt in sight scum etc.

Me and my old man just decided to walk ahead of him, anyway comes to getting in the ground and noticed we had to walk a different way, so I have turned round and not knowing he was there right behind me kind unwittingly of bumped into him and then him and his mate have started pushing and shoving me before one of the police officers on the horses come over

They are just hostile scum, fuck them I genuinely as a fanbase wish them nothing but the worst

Was he wearing a white Sunderland shirt & sun glasses and holding a beer ? There were 9 of us walking behind him (or someone similar) from where we parked having a sing song and he didn't say a peep, but we noticed once the police were in site by the coaches how he started giving it some to people in shirts

Absolute whopper - he must have been early 40's as well. It's funnier as we were directly behind him going down that hill before you turned right to the coaches and he didn't want to know when there were a few of us, yet he he's happy to pick on individuals. Reading the above comments that sounds like it was a common theme yesterday

I was in that spoons and thought it was fine (thats not to say it was for you). We were a group of lads so maybe we were left alone because of that? But we spoke to loads of Sunderland fans and everything was sound.

Was a load of Jimmys in a box on the way up to the ground, but I'm not asked about that.

The one in Spoons was only something minor and at the time we just gave them a laugh and thumbs up and went on our way. In isolation it was fine, bit it was just worth mentioning as it set the tone for the rest of the experience.

You might not be arsed about the Jimmy in a box thing, and neither am I as adult male who can defend himself. But doing it to teenage girls was very intimidating and uncomfortable for them.

Also worth noting that they failed to keep our players safe after the full time whistle last night

Walked through town with a beer surrounded by Sunderland fans and there were no comments at all until we got to the ground, where there were a few as we went past the queues for the turnstiles. More or less the same on the way back. Everyone was sound with us.

Didn’t think it was too bad. We walked through the parade in Cov shirts, got plenty of abuse but gave some back ourselves. Didn’t get the coach though which is where I’ve had issues there before. It was terrible by the coaches after the game at the 5-4 game

After the game there was a few young chavs giving it the big 'un outside the ground.

Normal behaviour, to be expected. But the walk down to the coaches was fine (for me at least).

Most of their fans were very complimentary, especially about Sakamoto.

I parked the car in your carpark “p7” on friday, in a small industrial area about 15 mins away from ground. We had strips on and the coventry fans walking up were spot on. Couple of boos but thats called banter, not abuse. Some people need to grow a pair.

Well obviosuly I agree with you but take a little look at your own forum whenever we play the vitriol coming from your fans about ours is worse than the other way around ..

Plenty of your support massively exaggerate the actions of Coventry fans every time we play you .. let's have it right Coventry never cared about sunderland but many in your fanbase struggled to let something go that happened 50 years ago and your online supporters created an issue .. thats the truth , it was an issue that wasn't there before

I dont think any Sunderland fans hate coventry, not in the sense of hating newcastle. May be a bit more to the fixture than if we were playing a typical club like Hull or Preston for example, but nothing more to it than that. Coventry fans can walk around Sunderland city centre and drink in any of Sunderland's bars with no issues at all. No one got attacked yesterday, the worst thing is someone got booed walking past a whether spoons and some random bloke shouted jimmys in a box. If people think thats intimidating and scary then I suggest you avoid ever going to Millwall away or anywhere abroad.

also a quick rightmove check of coventry suggests your house prices arent too dissimilar to the city of Sunderland, not that any of that matters. Also, half of Sunderlands fanbase are from outside of Sunderland, mainly county Durham.
