We ended up in a spoons then the Sunderland fans museum (which was actually decent, wish we had somthing like it) earlier this season. Wouldn't mind going somewhere with cov fans this time around though. Are we allowed in any this year?
If so, where is everyone going?
Wheres this?Wheatsheaf are laying on free food and a happy hour (only for away fans)

Never had an issue getting in a pub at Sunderland, certainly without colours. Have gone in the Colliery Tavern right outside the ground a couple of times. Doorman asked if we were Cov last time, said yes, and he just said in you come lads. That was last season, so don't know if they've changed that, but pretty relaxed up there.

It's not giving away fans energy if I'm honestWheatsheaf are laying on free food and a happy hour (only for away fans)

It’s ok in there, but like someone else said there was trouble on a couple of occasions so not sure if we will be allowed in. Worth a try. It's not giving away fans energy if I'm honest

Not interested in Sunderland pubs?Wright not interested again
What absolute nonsenseHope everyone stayed safe. Sunderland fans were picking people off before the game and it wasn't pretty after.
Horrible, horrible place.
What absolute nonsense
All pubs in Sunderland allow away fans as we arent bellends. And no Coventry fans were “getting picked off”. Hope you wake up and come back from the world of make believe.
Why not just give the away fans their own pub/pubs? It was a very intimidating place to walk around wearing sky blue, and every pub may say they welcome away fans but that certainly wasn't my experience. Shouted at, booed and called all sorts for having the audacity to wear a different colour to red. Teenage girls screamed at by grown adults signing 'Jimmys in a box'. Very few police around and it didn't feel a safe place to me.What absolute nonsense

Walked past the Wetherspoons (I think it was) in town first of all. Loads of boos and chants for having a Cov shirt on. Colliery Tavern next. Coventry police put out a tweet saying we could go there and there was about 200 Sunderland and about 10 Cov fans. We walked in, felt uncomfortable and walked out to chorus of boos and chants from Sunderland fans. Thought we'd go McDonalds and was even getting deathly stares all over in there. We then watched the coach parade and young lads were trying to intimidate the teenage lads I was with (great parade by the way), and a Cov fan walked over the road that the parade was on and got a drink thrown over him. Then we walked the short walk to the turnstiles and there was loads of Sunderland fans chanting Jimmys in a box with grown adults shouting it in teenage girls faces. Not a nice, friendly environment at all. Whether you choose to believe that is up to you (I'm assuming you won't).Give over manabsolute nonsense. Where did this take place? May be the odd stupid comment but by and large mackems are decent people and very welcoming.
We don’t need away fan only pubs, all fans are welcome everywhere as long as they dint act themselves there wont be any bother.
only Boro get put into their own pub when they come here. Newcastle have to go straight to the ground. Every other club is welcome everywhere.

I was in that spoons and thought it was fine (thats not to say it was for you). We were a group of lads so maybe we were left alone because of that? But we spoke to loads of Sunderland fans and everything was sound.Walked past the Wetherspoons (I think it was) in town first of all. Loads of boos and chants for having a Cov shirt on.
