Are we allowed in any this year?

If so, where is everyone going?

If we land in time spending the afternoon in Durham or Chester Le-Street before heading up and being in and out for the game

Few of the coaches have been told where they can and can't stop on the outskirts before convoying up to the game I believe

Never had an issue getting in a pub at Sunderland, certainly without colours. Have gone in the Colliery Tavern right outside the ground a couple of times. Doorman asked if we were Cov last time, said yes, and he just said in you come lads. That was last season, so don't know if they've changed that, but pretty relaxed up there.

I went in there last year and there were some funny looks.

Ended up in the horrendous Hilton bar. Never again.

The last two matches we went to Street Bar SR1, which is a sports bar in the city centre. No problems on either occasion - indeed, lots of chat with local fans. Not a place to start singing Jimmy Hill songs, though.

What absolute nonsense 😂

All pubs in Sunderland allow away fans as we arent bellends. And no Coventry fans were “getting picked off”. Hope you wake up and come back from the world of make believe.
Why not just give the away fans their own pub/pubs? It was a very intimidating place to walk around wearing sky blue, and every pub may say they welcome away fans but that certainly wasn't my experience. Shouted at, booed and called all sorts for having the audacity to wear a different colour to red. Teenage girls screamed at by grown adults signing 'Jimmys in a box'. Very few police around and it didn't feel a safe place to me.

Give over man 😂😂 absolute nonsense. Where did this take place? May be the odd stupid comment but by and large mackems are decent people and very welcoming.

We don’t need away fan only pubs, all fans are welcome everywhere as long as they dint act themselves there wont be any bother.

only Boro get put into their own pub when they come here. Newcastle have to go straight to the ground. Every other club is welcome everywhere.

Walked past the Wetherspoons (I think it was) in town first of all. Loads of boos and chants for having a Cov shirt on. Colliery Tavern next. Coventry police put out a tweet saying we could go there and there was about 200 Sunderland and about 10 Cov fans. We walked in, felt uncomfortable and walked out to chorus of boos and chants from Sunderland fans. Thought we'd go McDonalds and was even getting deathly stares all over in there. We then watched the coach parade and young lads were trying to intimidate the teenage lads I was with (great parade by the way), and a Cov fan walked over the road that the parade was on and got a drink thrown over him. Then we walked the short walk to the turnstiles and there was loads of Sunderland fans chanting Jimmys in a box with grown adults shouting it in teenage girls faces. Not a nice, friendly environment at all. Whether you choose to believe that is up to you (I'm assuming you won't).

The only positive was that I spoke to a Sunderland fan while watching the parade and he was a nice chap. Maybe that was you, who knows.

They are absolute shithouses, there was a bald fella and his mate walking up past all the buses pre game, he was slamming on all of them calling everyone in a CCFC shirt in sight scum etc.

Me and my old man just decided to walk ahead of him, anyway comes to getting in the ground and noticed we had to walk a different way, so I have turned round and not knowing he was there right behind me kind unwittingly of bumped into him and then him and his mate have started pushing and shoving me before one of the police officers on the horses come over

They are just hostile scum, fuck them I genuinely as a fanbase wish them nothing but the worst

The irony of you accusing someone of "make believe"

See you next season ;)

I was in that spoons and thought it was fine (thats not to say it was for you). We were a group of lads so maybe we were left alone because of that? But we spoke to loads of Sunderland fans and everything was sound.

Was a load of Jimmys in a box on the way up to the ground, but I'm not asked about that.
