Wright just isn’t what the tactic demands on the left, Lampard wants wingers who go wide and cross the ball. Wright just isn’t that. If he’s not starting as the 9. I wouldn’t play him.
When a team is deep wanting to defend the penalty area you need some aerial power, it is bizarre that Lampard didn't recognise this early doors in the game. Simms should have come on at half time.EMC, Wright, Sakamoto is our best front 3 imo. Wright has been generally wank whether on left or in the middle recently but at least he's capable of scoring unlike Simms.
I think Frank likes EMC too but people have struggled to accept this for a long time. When he's fit he generally starts.
Still waiting for the answer to the original questionWas he worse than Wright or Sheaf?
Are you happy we lost or something you dumb c**t?@covcity4life we need the Lampard cigar photo
Chris what are you annoyed about mate , ellis simms hasn't scored or assisted for 13 games , hes been fucking awful .
I dont pick the team pal , frank does .
Ellis wouldnt make my best 11 , but I was happy for him to start and for asante to come on against tired legs , frank didnt see it that way
Wright has been shite since his hat trick against these lot.EMC, Wright, Sakamoto is our best front 3 imo. Wright has been generally wank whether on left or in the middle recently but at least he's capable of scoring unlike Simms.

No need to be dramatic here. Sunderland had a game plan and executed it well. But the idea that winning at Sunderland is some sort of impossible mission. Totally doable. Not saying we will, but we're 2-1 down at half time. Breathe. Long way to go yet.
I suspect that they disagree and we’ll see quite a few outgoing over the summer.
The 2nd goal is what it is. Players make mistakes but time and time again Bobby Thomas thinking he’s prime Beckenbauer absolutely fucks us. A revers pass across his body wrong foot and then rather than staying up with play decided the best option is to jump stop to try and play Isidor offside.
As bad as the 2nd

The best hope is to just launch everything into the box and get Rudoni in there. Not sure why we had him taking corners when he’s a huge aerial threatWhen a team is deep wanting to defend the penalty area you need some aerial power, it is bizarre that Lampard didn't recognise this early doors in the game. Simms should have come on at half time.
Wright is exactly the same size as Simms isnt he? Simms needs to do more, you can't keep rewarding his nothing performances with starts. When a team is deep wanting to defend the penalty area you need some aerial power, it is bizarre that Lampard didn't recognise this early doors in the game. Simms should have come on at half time.
I can absolutely assure you that Sunderland AFC will not be over confident next Tuesday.Heads up boys, these are shite make no bones about. They will be over confident Tuesday and come press and we will tear the pricks apart.
Set up beautiful for a famous City win Tuesday
PUSB
Fair assessment tbh.I can absolutely assure you that Sunderland AFC will not be over confident next Tuesday.
Do you think we know nothing about football?
Sunderland went to your place with a game plan and they played it almost to perfection. the main question was - could we/Sunderland raise our game after 5 straight defeats - the answer was clearly yes.
I was slightly bemused by Coventry in the first half. Why when CCFC has score 19 goals from headers this season did they play these 40 yard lobbed balls over our central defenders? POMO tells everyone that once you play the ball over about 20 yards the chances of the right players getting the ball is about 5%.
Second half and Lampard corrected that and you started to get the crosses into the box - very dangerous. However when you have 10 men behind the ball it is and it doesn't matter who you are playing - very, very hard to break that defence down.
Sunderland played with 2 up front and on their day they are good pacy strikers.
Le Fee's ball for Isidor was absolutely superb. You will never see a better ball than that. 1 nil to Sunderland. whether it was deserved or not made no difference whatsoever as we did what was on the side of the tin - played on the break. Classic smash and grab.
Didnt take long for CCFC to equalise and it was a classic strike catching us just after we had scored. The header went in like a bullet and it was game on.
We were then under the cosh but defended for our lives and the second goal arrived, taken beautifully by Mayenda. The one think you can say about the lad who made the mistake is that in football he may be down tonight but as sure as eggs are eggs he will be your hero at some point in the future - because what goes around comes around.
Now for the Stadium Of Light.
I've been a football fan coming up 60 years and if I know this tie isn't over then I assume everyone else does as well. Us Sunderland fans will hope that we can pull it off and go to Wembley but that is by no means certain. CCFC score the first goal and its game on and in the preceding 60 years I've seen just about all the weird and wonderful ways there are of winning and losing football matches.
Sunderland's first win at coventry in 40 years - as one or two people guessed - it would have to happen in this type of game.
As Cruyff, the manager would tell you, possession means nothing - goals is what counts. You can talk all day long about who was the better side and who should have won - how lucky the opposition was etc. - and how they are a bunch of pricks - but at the end of the day 90 minutes football tells you who won. You either get all upset about it and make a load of excuses or you get off your arse and go and win the next game.
Coventry lost and you either take the loss with a bit of humility or twist on like a bairn - insulting the opposition and crying on. Nothing big and clever about the latter.
Both teams remain 90 minutes from Wembley.
It'll be some game next Tuesday.

Genius strategy getting the opposition to put it in for you.I can absolutely assure you that Sunderland AFC will not be over confident next Tuesday.

Grimes can take a decent one himself and we’ve now scored 20 headers. He's also the best at taking corners.
Firstly and above anything else the reason I question you is actually because I respect your opinion over the vast majority even though it might not seem that way ! I don't want you to say anything in particular but I'm very interested to hear what you would do with the players at your disposal.Ok
What do you want me to say ?
I think he’s pretty much done here now.Wright is exactly the same size as Simms isnt he? Simms needs to do more, you can't keep rewarding his nothing performances with starts.
You have shown your agenda.Someone hasnt been meditating
Not sure who will take him though.I think he’s pretty much done here now.

I'm hearing that Van Ewick lost his footing which a few round by me were wondering if the pitch was over watered, few early on were slipping. Also wonder if they won the toss as we started down that end again?
Probably Birmingham or Wrexham. Not sure who will take him though.
Not sure who will take him though.
I’ve backed Simms since he’s been here but he’s clearly not going to make it with us. The fact he’s still not scoring with the change to how we play is very concerning.I think Simms and asamte are neither good enough for where we want to be and its neither here or there who plays if it has to be between the 2
The idea that ellis makes us a better team always amuses me , a good striker scores 20 with the amount of balls we get into the box under frank
Not reading all that mate, let me know when the audio books availableI can absolutely assure you that Sunderland AFC will not be over confident next Tuesday.

DaSilva slipped up too.Wright slipped numerous times as well. Got to make sure they’ve got right studs/blades for pitch type surely
Its not, its just not sky blue tinted lenses like you have. You have shown your agenda.
