Do people really think Lampard is sacrificing results to prove a point? None of us have seen Wilson play for months, he sees them in training everyday and has decided Collins is the better option.
If Collins blows it on Saturday I want FL to be asked the questionDo people really think Lampard is sacrificing results to prove a point? None of us have seen Wilson play for months, he sees them in training everyday and has decided Collins is the better option.
You trying to say he deliberately throws games then?Do people really think Lampard is sacrificing results to prove a point? None of us have seen Wilson play for months, he sees them in training everyday and has decided Collins is the better option.

Well saying the only reason Collins is playing is because Lampard is being stubborn is suggesting that isn’t it? If Wilson was better than Collins he would be playing. Not one person has said Lampard is sacrificing results, honestly!
But then sometimes it's not about who is the best player. Your very best players in the squad can go through a loss of form and you very often see them droppedWell saying the only reason Collins is playing is because Lampard is being stubborn is suggesting that isn’t it? His career to date suggests otherwise.Disagree mate. He's been second choice for most of his career, stepped up one season and won golden glove. Hasn't been bad when he has played this season. He's signed a contract for a reason, maybe to be 3rd or 2nd choice but we can also get a fee for him. Collins is an awful keeper, Wilson isn't.
they are both awfulHis career to date suggests otherwise.
And I’m just saying Lampard isn’t stupid he can see how awful Collins has been. He watches the goalies train everyday and still thinks he’s a better option than Wilson.People are saying it's a selection mistake, nothing more.
And Wilson is better than Collins.
I agree. Both need to be gone this summer.they are both awful
Collins is much poorer at shot stopping and catching the ball
Wilson is much poorer on 1v1 (he cant judge position and usually leaves the whole goal open) and distribution
Collins critical mistakes per game are much higher than wilson (and any other keeper ever)

I wouldn’t say he’s sacrificing results purposely SG, what I would say is Lampard is too stubborn to change the personnel or formation, I assume because he believes his own judgement.Do people really think Lampard is sacrificing results to prove a point? I’ll trust the opinion of frank and his team who see them train everydayAnd he's making a mistake in the opinion of many of us.
It's very simple to me. Say what you like about Collins but he is very good with his feet for a GK. The way Lampard likes us to play needs a GK who is also good with the ball at his feet. We saw last game he is a capable GK but the problem is he is never far away from making a mistake/wrong decision that costs us a goal.
Wilson is a half decent GK but a liability with the ball at his feet. If Lampard is to play Wilson he would also have to consider playing a different system instead of playing out from the back. And as we have seen in recent games he isn't willing to change our system even when keeping to it gives the advantage to our opponents who play best against teams that use a high line.
It’s all well and good a keeper being good with his feet and it’s justifiable to keep in the team on that basis, but he’s made several poor judgements or his shot stopping has been poor which has cost us what 9+ points, that could have us comfortable in the playoffs. It's very simple to me. And Wilson is better than Collins.
It would help if his decision making wasn't so poor. He frequently seems to be stuck in two minds then does neither. It would help if Collins was good with his hands though.![]()

I fully agree. But the choice is down to Lampard. Play Collins who always has a mistake in him and hope we keep the ball up the other end of the pitch or keep control of the ball, or play Wilson and change the way we play because his ball control with his feet isn't good enough. It’s all well and good a keeper being good with his feet and it’s justifiable to keep in the team on that basis, but he’s made several poor judgements or his shot stopping has been poor which has cost us what 9+ points, that could have us comfortable in the playoffs.
In all seriousness i'm starting to think Bobby Thomas would be a better CF than Ellis Simms. If youre happy to see someone costing us a goal every game or 2fair enough.
Stuart Pearce used to watch Man City train everyday, he once brought David James on up front.
Man City supporters thought he'd lost the plot, what do they know?

Dublin was the best striker I have seen play for us. Also an excellent defender for us.In all seriousness i'm starting to think Bobby Thomas would be a better CF than Ellis Simms.

Thomas as ST gives me nightmaresWould actually want to try Thomas as a ST however would mean having Lati as a CB![]()
How FL can continue to pick Collins is beyond meThats exactly what he's doing mate
People don't want to believe it, Wilson is fit, has been for weeks
Lampard is just being stubborn
Lampard worked wonders to get us into a top 6 spot. But he's also the one costing us it
He's not doing it because he's stubborn though is he? It must be to do with wilson's lack distribution changing the gameplanThats exactly what he's doing mate
