I was looking through the Spurs programme today and found proof of a tweet a I had seen the other day... 'Norwich charge £50 for an away ticket'.

Norwich to me is a Championship stadium, I'd never pay £50 to visit Carrow Road.

Sadly, for 90% of us on this forum, watching the Sky Blues in the Premier League would be just too much.

Would anyone really pay £58 to visit WHL?

I'd love to have the 'Premiership' lifestyle, but the money is ridiculous.
Why would anyone pay £58 to watch their team at WHL.

I'm sky blue through thick and thin but back in the day, albeit wanting a city win it was a pleasure to see players like bergkamp, Zola, ginola in their prime.

As amazing as the Emerites is, its completely disconnected with the locals. All around it was poverty and drugs. There'sno way the locals could afford their ticketing let alone the beer and pies. Football has been stolen and now steals from the working class.

I seen something interesting, prices of going to watch a football game, in line with inflation SHOULD be £1.66 for a prem game... A yorkie bar costs more than that at the RICOH.

If top flight clubs can afford to pay reserve players tens of thousands a week they can afford to reduce ticket prices.

Germany usually does have things on the money when it comes to football-protected fan ownership of clubs, the cheaper tickets, safe standing at grounds, free away day travel etc etc. Don't get me wrong it's not a system without flaws but it's a lot closer to how football should be run than it is here.

At the time is was roughly £3 to £4 for your average top flight match, taking into account inflation etc. your average premiership game should cost you around £16 to £18.

If Premier League ticket prices were dropped clubs wouldn't be able to spend £20-30million signing players who are already something close to the finished article and then pay them hundreds of thousands a week. As a result, they'd have to prioritise good scouting and youth development to assemble a good team on the cheap.

As people have alluded to, this is what happened in Germany not so long ago, and they now have one of the most entertaining leagues in the world, as well as the best crop of young players in the world.
