We were in for 2 prem loans,Rak Sakyi being one, 'we' take that as Doug or the club or whatever, wouldnt pay the loan percentage wanted by clubs

If that's true it's not necessarily something to be unhappy about.

Like most fans I want us to get as many good players in as we can but Doug has to manage the club's finances properly. I don't want us to get in the financial mess that Sisu did, which got us uncomfortably close either to ceasing or exist or out of the Football League.

By the standards of recent decades these are exciting times to be a SB supporter. We are tantalisingly close to being in the play-offs for a second successive season and are playing some attractive football.

Robins bears plenty of responsibility for the squad being thin - it was him and the recruitment team who decided to divert all our cash into building a 3ATB-based squad in the summer, which has left us with redundancies and shortfalls now we’ve switched to 433.

Thomas was outstanding in the first half. Doesn't deserve to be dropped for a couple of mistakes in atrocious conditions in the second half. Also he had so little support from MVE.

Nowhere near as cold as Grimsby, especially the away end. It is open to the wind coming off the Humber estuary.

At the end of the day we have a squad and that squad is there to be utilised. If there are players in the squad who aren’t good enough for the first team then why weren’t they released? Large squad or not we have to rotate and the players that come in need to have robins trust.
