He’s an ok impact player off the bench, I guess.
I can actually see the what seemed a ridiculous argument for starting him up top, we don't seem set up for the strikers to score but Palmer protects the ball and has better feet than either of them by a country mile.

Right

Ellis simms 57% pass accuracy and 11 touches .

Surely fans realise its the way we play more than the actual strikers themselves ? If not there's no hope

Did simms have a shot today ? Did he reviewed a single pass in the box today ?
Technically one shot I think, first half

The season that we finally figure out to beat the likes of Norwich, Preston and Swansea will be the season that we can get promoted. Otherwise, are just being teased into believing in that pipe dream.

Don't think they were easy passes either. Definitely could have done better on one or two though I agree. But they wernt ridiculously bad and worth being told to fuck off
When he's just played 3 in a row, then it's bloody frustrating. He has all the talent in the world, but little end product. Add to that his lazy attempt of a tackle when they scored.

Allen's pass was also awful, but he hadn't just played 3 in a row.

No they weren't easy passes, but he had easier passes on. The one to Wright in particular was a 5% pass if that, with Milan in acres on the the overlap.

No point injecting pace and sense of urgency, then just gifting the ball away cheaply. For all his skill, and step overs I just can't see past the lack of end product.

Pity he could not score when he had an open goal in front of him at 1-1

It was about this time last year we lost to Norwich in an appalling game.

Remember what happened after?

Get some perspective ffs

Yeah whoever the striker is in this formation seems to be a passenger for most of it and barely involved. Seems to bounce off Simms and Godden when played into them most times.

So you prefer someone who doesn't even have the skill? Makes no sense. If he had full end product he would be in prem not playing for cov

He came on as a sub when we down to 10 men. He tried to make things happen and very nearly did. It's not a easy situation

People need to stop being fixated on the talent he could have been and realise the talent that he is for us. And he still has a big role for us. After this sub cameo I have a feeling he gets the start Vs sheff wed personally

I want to see more like today from him. Looks a bit like ronaldinho and today actually used his frame to hold people off and then drove forward like him too! Hopefully on Tuesday it leads to some goals or assists of course.

Was I hallucinating or was Angus Gunn actually on the pitch and made two good saves for the supposed "had to score" chances?

Also our last two games the result has been affected by strange management decisions the negative team selection v Bristol City and the substitutions of Torp & Sakamoto, Tatsu was taking up two defenders just being out there wide and Torp controlled midfield once they went off Norwich took over midfield, remember a number of Norwich players have been PL players and are quick to exploit weak spots and have pace on and without the ball.

Don’t get the pelters… second half we were the better team, even with 10 men… and the winner was by no means soft, no keeper is saving that.

Palmer is by far our most skillful player but I agree with some previous comments, he creates opportunities out of nothing with a bit of sublime skill, then fucksup the final ball. That said, he came on and was the standout player on the pitch, he just has to work on decision making for that last clinical pass.

Thought we played well generally, against a good side who are on the up. I was particularly proud that we continued to go for it when we went down to 10 and didn’t park the bus. No shame on this loss for me.

2 defeats in 16… while I’m pissed off we lost, we’ve got to look at the big picture.

We go again

It’s mad, wright should have put us 2 up, kitching gets sent off, but let’s dig simms out again 😂

Kitching made a fair few last ditch tackles and blocks in the first half, and probably felt he could do the same that time. Don't think it was idiocy to be honest, just a bad misjudgement. Those sort of tackles seems to be a big part of his game.
He won't be making them for the next 4 games.
