Even if the Sheaf rumors are genuine, Sheaf has 2.5 years remaining on his deal, Luton is a dump, Luton's ground if you have ever been will agree it is a bloody maisonette. Luton will be coming back down next season, Luton will be able to offer him 20 grand a week more until he is then relegated with that club. We can demand a transfer fee of at least 15-20million quid for Sheaf because of the duration left on his contract.

Now some site seems to claim Luton want to buy Sheaf.

There are always rumours during a transfer window. Journalists want news and just pick up on fans hunches and rumours. Most of them are wide of the mark.
I just wait and see what happens. It is not something I can control so pointless getting worked up over every rumour and every fans hunch.

I hate to break it out again but

Luton maybe interested in sheaf but much like my interest in Margot Robbie as the Stones said "We can't always get what we want".

In reality if all that happens is Torp in it’s a good window. Jan window is a nothingness in reality and is 80% rumour, 19% over inflated prices and 1% activity. We’ve picked up a good midfield prospect and lost no-one. Anything else is a bonus

Luton's most expensive signing this season is £5m. So unless they plan to triple that, Sheaf isn't joining them.
In fact that is Ryan Giles - it’s their all-time record signing (£5million) - can’t see them stumping up £10+million for Sheaf anytime soon.

Regarding my disrespectful comments towards Luton :ROFLMAO: Believe it or not, i am actually rooting for Luton this season in the Prem. The thought of all these Premier League prima donnas having to play in an 11 thousand capacity stadium that is half a bleeding house is absolutely brilliant. I genuinely want nothing but the best for Luton in the Prem, proper underdogs. Where Sheaf is concerned, i just cannot honestly see how Luton is an attractive proposition for a player that is arguably the most consistent in the Championship. Sheaf will know Luton might be able to double his current salary but with relegation almost a certainty, the implications of that reality will not only see Sheaf lose almost 2/3's of his weekly salary because of the relegation wage reduction clauses in player contracts. Sheaf will also be watching a mass exodus of Luton's star players. It is the sad reality of some of these small time Football Clubs, the likes of Coventry City with one idea of promotion and spending money in order to achieve that is the complete opposite of a club that is relegated, where the objective for any relegated club is to reestablish financial stability, which usually comes in the way of selling star players, rebuilding a squad with capable Championship players and this comes with a transitional period, which for some clubs can be 3 years before pushing for another crack at promotion and this is only if they get things right. Most clubs free fall, the manager loses star players, gets 1/3 of the budget to rebuild the squad, doesn't get time for the players to click, gets sacked, cycle repeats. Sheaf ain't going nowhere!

I’m still surprised we haven’t got a loan ‘winger’ in. I get waiting for the right player but the closer we get to the deadline the more chance we’ll be scrabbling round.

Think the days of us bringing in tom, dick and harry on loan are pretty much few and far between now mate. I think Doug King as well as Robins want permanent stayers opposed to having to rebuild season after season.

A lot can change in the last 24-48hrs of the window. Players who weren’t available suddenly are.
And vice-versa….

I suspect clubs expected Tavares to be available on loan but if we don’t bring any more attackers in I suspect he won’t go out on loan after all.
