fecking hell, here we go, the old "Working class white males are oppressed, can't call anybody a nig-nog now without being accused of being a racist, a bit of Paki-bashing doesn't do any harm, shouldn't be here anyway" line.

I agree, white working class males(and females) are oppressed, as are black, brown or any other colour working class males and females.

It's never been about White v Black, Irish v English, Germans v Russians, or any other contrived conflict, but Rich v Poor, and the rich always win, and will always win whilst the poor are pitted against each other rather than the real target.

If more people understood that, rather than just being pawns to the elites then the World would be a fairer place for all.

Good point...but racism does and will always exist

Whatever. Haven't got a debate in you hill.

How can I debate with someone who spouts an opinion, putting words into my mouth. Then I come back with actual things I've been through, telling you exactly who and what I am and what I would and do do in certain situations.
And their response to that is 'bollocks mate'

Am I going mad or what?

I'm telling you though..majority wise racism is seen as a white on black thing .if somebody called me a white bitch I'd probably laugh

That doesn't make any sense. You complain about racism being a one way street and then 'laugh' if somebody makes a racist comment to you.

Yeah, you are probably right. That shouldn't be the case, but unfortunately at the moment it is.

Don't put me in that though just because I'm mixed race. I'll stick up for everyone, maybe even you. ;)

Edit: Maybe I can't comment on this, but from what my dad said. When he gets racist abuse from someone, he doesn't get the fire in his belly, the anger, as it's not something he's grown up being constantly on the end of. He was totally non plussed on the occasion in Brum, he just wanted to get to the pub.
The same appears true for you, but if we were having a beer or two in the pub and it happened to you, I would say something, believe me, whether you were bothered or not.

Absolutely spot on. The powers that be love a straw man, and we're all straw men depending on what the subject matter is.

Can't even fling burning faeces at the door of an ethnic now without some liberal do-gooder calling it racism. It's political correctness GONE MAD.

A poster on here, who shall remain nameless, once started a post by using the old classic "I'm not being a racist but..." When people say that it always means they are. And I think this poster is.

You usually do get that. 'I'm not racist but ....'

Usually also qualified by the fact they are a friend of a black person.

Either that or they say something to someone that they think they heard them say.

Interesting to see now that fans have greater access to players ..they can erm abuse them even more. One of the drawbacks of twitter.

Our (Brentford) striker Clayton Donaldson was racially abused via twitter from one of our fickle fans after he missed a few goal scoring chances last week (despite the fact he's our top scorer!) made the BBC sportspage (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19942395)

The club even put a story on the official site (http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-17.10.12-430575.aspx) asking for help in finding the "fan" , police now involved and we shall see if anything happens with it.

To abuse one of your own players is just plain stupid. To racially abuse anyone is just vile.

Have to agree. The colour of his skin didn't make him give a penalty away did it?

I wonder what the punishment would be for abusing somebody racially on Twitter? Would they get locked up?

I think the guy who abused Fabrice Muamba on twitter got a 56 days in prison (and his life is pretty much ruined kicked out of uni face all over the news etc)

a guy racially abused stan collymore got community service same as the asian lad who put stuff on facebook about the dead soldiers

Whilst I agree racism remains a big issue it amuses me that people are happy to shout who's the gayboy in the pink, you French twat etc. and that's deemed to be fine.

Discrimination is discrimination whatever form it takes
