There's always an argument for not changing a winning team, but that's a brave set up considering Southampton are a far far better team than Brum, and are in good form.

I'd of started Eccles and dropped Simms to the bench, but at least it gives Simms and Wright a chance to show what they can do.

I think this will be a tight game with only 1 goal in it.

On the contrary I’d expect plenty of goals. Assuming some of our players bring their shooting boots that is.

Game will suit us as Southampton will dominate and we can , hopefully, hit them on the counter down the flanks . 3-2 City

Will not share my score prediction but…

“Stick out your chest, we’re Coventry City.”

Not really associated with tonight's game, but anyone else wish we could have signed Brook Norton-Cuffey on a permanent? I thought he was a good player. I watched the Millwall game and he was a bit quiet for them, and we won 3-0, but I watched the play-off final again last night on Sky and it made me think that we should have tried to sign him. Thoughts anyone?

Bit random but he did look Millwall’s best player in that one game. MVE is still the better of the two though.

Think MvE is a huge upgrade on him and Lati is a more than capable back up

Happy for Simms to be starting. As harsh as it sounds he may have more of a future here than Godden so he needs time to grow if we want goals out of him.

I can remember going from an all nighter straight to a Sunday League game, scoring a bullet header in the 2nd minute, puking in the 6 yard box, going off andsleeping on the sidelines for the rest of the game
Those were the days. Straight to the Memorial Park from Wigan Casino, a couple of pints in the Jules Verne afterwards, Sunday lunch at home and then fall into a deep sleep almost equivalent to a coma and then back down the pub Sunday night. In bed by eleven these days...

Car's fucked so can't make it tonight, but does mean I can have a beer. Head still says we're losing to a superior team but a draw's not beyond us. Hopefully the buzzing of O'Hare, Saka and Allen off the ball can disrupt them.

Gonna lose and SBT will melt down because we didn’t change the team this time.

No issue with queues. Maybe a small crowd or perhaps just got better at letting fans in
