This really is a key game.
We came out of the Preston loss almost with a positive feeling. Wright scoring, a formation change which seemed more positive and attacking.
Another loss would be very deflating with eyes looking towards the January window for rescue.
Here’s hoping…
I think everyone can see we have good players, who are either off-form or lacking in confidence with the start we have made. Robins & Viveash will hit upon the right system / formation soon (hopefully Saturday), and then I expect things to take off. Kelly, Palmer & Tavares should all be available by the Millwall game too, so we have really good options across the park.

Those fantastic season ticket sales are propping up the attendances for sure. Good effort from Stoke too at the prices they are expected to pay.
We have to stop the rot tomorrow though with at least a draw, the league is moving on up without us.

Has to be 3 points-just for the fact it will be meltdown on here for the next week!
Can’t see it being a high scoring game to be fair as I think we will try and keep the door closed (which we really need to do) and nick a 1-0.

Illness in the camp confirmed by Robins. When it rains, it pours... Stoke are still 12/5 if you are quick.
Piss. Blackpool flashbacks. I remember thinking the players were moving like they were drunk or hungover that day. Only found out at half time why!

Depends who is ill. If it’s one ofthe CB’s or strikers for example, we have enough cover. If it’s a CM it’s going to impact us a lot more.

Our overall squad is bigger this year so I’d hope illness wouldn’t affect us as much as it did last year.

And bring slightly flippant, it’s not exactly like we’ve had a consistent team or formation anyway, it changes every game - players should be used to lining up next to different players every week!

A defeat tomorrow and I think we’d be getting into vote of confidence territory.

It will be the next two after that - if we don’t beat stoke and then fail to win at Millwall it’s difficult to see Plymouth not being a Micky Adams Bristol City moment

That was one of the most Toxic games I've been to. Up there with Northampton away after we'd gone back to the Ricoh.

Last time we had the illness in the squad we ended up with Palmer up front.

What will it be this time, Jamie Allen as a false 9? Sakamoto as a deep lying playmaker? Kitching as a target man up front?

Team sheet will be interesting if nothing else.

No change from the last couple of weeks then!

Nobody is but the competition to make the most elaborate "I think we'll lose" statement is tedious

Literally everything points to us losing though.

I'd love to go into tomorrow thinking we'll win but it's very difficult to. Stoke have had a tough run and have managed to beat Sunderland, Leeds and Middlesbrough.

That's before you even look at our form and this sudden illness.

Desperate for a result tomorrow because it's going to look grim going into a two week break with another loss knowing we've got to play Millwall, Ipswich, Leeds, Sunderland and Middlesbrough away as well as Southampton and Leicester at home in the next 8/9 weeks.
