Plenty of passion on the pitch but a lack of passion by the fans again. Do we just want to be entertained or do we want to help with the battle .
Entertained please. I'm paying a decent amount of money for a ticket.

Still not counted as a shot on target, or an assist.
I have my opinion, you (and by the sound of it many others) have a different opinion.
i think I’ll leave it at that.
That's fair enough , the game is all about opinions but to say you don't want to see a young kid never wear the shirt again is way over the top

I’d say 99% of people have a better opinion than you. You would never belong in a team because you are so spineless.

Do we win without that flash of magic ?
Yes he was average aside from that but he's a kid learning the game
Agreed but I would ease off on the "a kid" stuff: he's a Premier League loan (and international!) who is expected to be one of our best players, not a youth teamer of our own for whom just getting minutes is an achievement.

Agree with this. I think if/when he gets the pace and physicality of the league figured out he’ll be a good player, you’ve seen flashes of it. Just seems very raw right now.
If he comes good, I will admit to being wrong. At the moment I just don’t see it.

He does take a while to get into the game and tends to look lost sometimes but tonight he did grow into the game, especially in the second half. That moment of positivity ultimately won us the game. Credit to him for being fearless enough to drive forward and take the shot. I get your overall feeling but he’s young and here to develop… and given the injury situation he’s going to get more game time, so hopefully the experience will make him a more rounded player.

Great 3 points tonight, pretty dire performance, our defence deserved the points but our attack definitely didn’t.

Fair play to our defenders for putting up with the amount of times our midfield/attack gave the ball away and the amount of threatening runs into the box Blackburn made, literally all of them were well defended. Really top quality defending tonight. Great saves from Wilson too, stepped up when he needed to.

Still can’t get over how poor our attack is though, we get to the edge of their box and then run out of ideas every single time, just sideways and backwards passes. Great to get another win under our belts but I really hope we liven it up attacking-wise, so predictable and almost like all our players are scared to shoot or take someone on. Can’t wait to see what we’re like when Sheaf, Van Ewijk and O’Hare are all back.

(Also, Robins made some terrible subs again, Saka needs more game time and Godden should have had a rest instead of Simms. Godden ran around a hell of a lot but didn’t really offer much going forwards, pressing is decent but I think he should have had 20 mins rest considering he’s played every single minute so far this season.)

Ayari was quite poor tonight, and I’m not sure many could argue otherwise. He looked nervous and scared, made some bad decisions when in possession was anonymous and actively hid at times.

However, he showed two real moments of technical class, one of which led to our goal. I’m confident he’ll come good as his confidence improves, he learns the system and integrates more.

And, as I put in the match thread, his celebration was excellent and showed how much the goal meant.

We will play a lot better than that and lose at some point this season. Take the 3 pts, take the clean sheet and take 14pts from 10 games with a brand new squad, that's a decent start in my opinion.

Not great news on Kelly and could be a long road back for him, but we have wrote him off before and he has come back strong... We could do with getting through Saturday without any injuries and at least a point. From there we have a few days to get time on the training field and get a few back ready to 1st team squad.

On tonight's game, i thought Binks was stand out, Wilson, Allen and Eccles done some good things and Lati was solid. Kitching and Thomas are very raw and will be better for time with Adi and Dennis, as well as playing and listening to Fadz...

It was disjointed and we looked more like the away side doing a smash and grab than the home side. But new team needs wins to breed confidence and cohesion so I’ll take it all day long. Limp through Norwich then hopefully we’ve got a few key players back and the season can actually start.
We certainly looked disjointed when Kelly went off. Hopefully his detractors will understand what he gives the team now.

Still looks to me like he should have gone to L1 for a season first.
But he'll be starting Saturday for sure so a chance to shine.

looking at the highlights and Blackburns disallowed goal, to me it looks like the player scoops the ball into the goal with his hand.

Last comment from me of the evening.

For those who refuse to want to see Wright and Simms together after the late substitution. Last two games 2 goals for Simms and a goal for Wright. No goals for Godden. 6 points on the table. First back to back wins of the season. What more evidence do you need?
Wright came on against a tiring defence and was lucky enough to get an unchallenged header from 6 yards. Fair play for putting it in, but if he'd of missed it, he'd be on the first plain back to America this morning.

Then right at the death he had a run from the half way line and there's 2 options. 1) go to the corner flag, or 2) cut inside the defender and unleash a power shot, and he does neither, he totally fucks up and their keeper launches it down field. He's got to do better than that.

Godden worked his socks off last night and was continually helping the midfield and even the defence out, while also trying to make an Impression upfront alongside Simms who offered very little.

There's a very good reason why MR won't start Simms and Wright together while Godden is fit.
