I think a lot of it is just people reading too much into things from social media rumours.

They posted a cone with the word Hamer on. I mean it’s possible all the cones had names on for some drill but you can see why people would draw conclusions.

There are as many rumours saying he hasn’t signed or is leaving as there are ones saying he has signed.

Tavares isn't back on the grass either is he. Both been on the bike mainly from videos we have seen.

I don’t see any commercial reason for delaying any Hamer contract. I think they will announce it as soon as it gets done or he is sold.

Linking it to a new club shirt is ok but it’s not a game changer so not the reason to delay.

Yeah that would be brutal on him, would be bothered in terms of our football teams results but that would be extremely challenging to deal with from a personal point of view and therefore that takes priority

I'd keep the Hamer signing back until I wanted to announce the kit and boost sales with the feel good factor. He's our player for another year at least (unless sold) so why would we need to announce it really urgently?

Taking @GIMOC at face value, it seems before we went to Portugal he’s verbally agreed. Clearly his agent is working over time looking at the press. So something must have changed is my feeling.

Hamer also hates stripes obviously.
