What if you've been to every home game but pay on the gate each time ?
I know if they go every week then they should have a ST but it doesn't work out for everyone

I don't think many people will be doing that from now on.

How do you increase your fan base,?, not by excluding interested individuals

Like all teams we have a certain allocation and STHs get first dibs, as they rightly should. Then points holders, etc. At a one-off game like this we could fill Wembley with CCFC fans and I dare say Luton could do the same. Doesn't work like that though, does it.

To be guaranteed a ticket you need to become a STH.

look after your regular fan base, as they will the ones who in the long run will sustain your business . Those who only turn up for some sort of special offer will not do that - so if they really are interested, they would be turning up for a Tuesday night v huddersfield if we dont go up . You have limited supply - so there is no other option i am afraid

I did in the end, I'm very fortunate. My colleague at work was able to get an extra one in his crowd. I feared for those buying them today including myself, I'm indebted to him for helping me out. How did you get on?
Good, I was sorted anyway but just hoped you weren't posting "Hamburgers" at the end of the day. Enjoy the game :)

I likely won't fully enjoy the game itself, anxiety levels go through the roof, but I certainly intend to enjoy everything before, as much during and after! Hope yours is also a good outing.

I think I've decided not to go 😬 I normally go with my wife but she's having a birthday BBQ so I'd be sitting on my own. The old man will be there somewhere but none of my mates follow football. Feels odd after going to the last 2. At least then I can watch it with a few mates that have a passing interest and the wife of course. I couldn't imagine being sat there on my Todd if we didn't win. And the travel back alone to compound it...

If you're travelling by public transport i'm sure plenty would be willing to take you under their wing so to speak

So where exactly are the 17,000 neutral seats and who will be occupying them?

looking at the seats available from Thursday. I would say the halfway line blocks would be sponsor which equates to 2-4K both sides and 4k club Wembley so unsure on the other 6-8k

Was the allocation in 87 really only 25k each? That sounds like they're applying existing FA Cup allocations to historic events. I bet it was more like 45k each at that time?
I actually thought it was ridiculously low given the capacity. Loads went to various local associations and referees, players, and other non-fans. It's why the Charity Shield was a good thing in a way, as the tickets were basically for fans so those who missed out could have a day trip!

because a lot of tickets find their way into supporters hands - we had 5 between us for wembley and none were via Coventry city directly - sponsors + another contact

My daughter works for Mars and has her name in a draw for tickets through them on Wednesday, so there must be other companies like that through which people can access tickets. 17,000 seems an awful lot though, so I'm guessing a lot of those normally find their way to touts, as I can't imagine too many neutrals being that interested in a Cov v Luton match up.
