we're going to struggle but need to keep trying to play our game, if we go and sit back we have no chance.

We matched them at home, and that was without both Hamer and O'Hare.

3-1 them or 1-0 us!

Almost certain we will start with the 2 new boys, and unless a centre half is found, Bidwell at LCB. We can still hurt them, with Hamer, Sheaf, Palmer & Vik on the field, but you have to worry defensively. 3-2 Burnley, or 2-2.

Got to go at them, sit back and wel get hammered.

Now we’ve got some wingbacks and assuming no more signings I’d go:

Wilson
Rose Doyle Bidwell
Norton-Cuffy Hamer Sheaf Wilson-Esbright
Palmer Allen
Gyokeres

S: Moore, Kane, Dabo, Kelly, Burroughs, Howley, Nee

I think we're more likely to play how we did at Watford who are a similar possession based team, we didn't sit back as such but we didn't pile forward. This sort of game is where we really miss O'Hare because we need to be winning the ball back as high up the pitch as possible which he's exceptional at but Palmer played at Watford and did well.

The break will be vital and I think Palmer Allen and Vik is alright there. Just don’t want to see us in 811 formation.

Burnley fans predicting a goalrush from their side. Only a couple suggesting a draw.

With our injuries and suspensions, we're going to have problems. They're on a high with the form table on their side, we're 1 win in 6. Our solid defense has crumbled, midfield needs a new charger and while KP is a talented ballplayer, he hasn't got the same box to box engine that CoH has.

As much as I want to see us win, if we come away with a draw and no further players going missing, I'd class that as a good day. If you're travelling up, enjoy the trip and have a safe day.

Have to agree. We've basically only got Rose and Bidwell with anyting close to experience too, and it seems likely we'll be playing Bidwell out of of position.

On the plus side, against weaker sides we might be far more of a threat than we have been, but this lot aren't it!

Not to suggest that Robins is oblivious to it either, he just can’t find anyone to replace what we’ve lost.

First game of a new era, expected to lose so anything from it is a bonus I think we can give them a few problems. Team will be interesting doubt there will be a new signing today, expect lad from Arsenal to play, Man City one between him or Burroughs, Bidwell CB he’s a decent defender to be fair. Be good to get promotion favourites out of the way and get ourselves ready for a March to the top six which I think we’ll do. As said any positive result will do.

Bidwell isn’t a replacement for McF in the centre of defence. The problem as we’ve seen exposed even by Conference opposition is it can’t handle balls into the box.

I think most of our problems on Saturday where with Panzo playing in the middle of the 3, he didn't adjust well. Doyle is much better there. Bidwell was good at LCB at the end of last season, he played there when we beat Fulham. I think Robins will have them fired up for this one. If the new wing backs hit the ground running (the Man City lad looks to be something special) then we may cause them a lot of problems

Sheaf can also play there and has done for us a few times.
He can and think he would be perfectly capable, but you only need to look at the game against Bristol City to see how poor we look without him being the lynchpin between defence and attack. Kelly looked non-league against a non-league side and Allen doesn't suit that role at all. I don't think there's any good solution but I think keeping Sheaf in midfield would be the 'least bad' option.

Sadly my optimism about the takeover doesn't extend to this game. Can see us losing by a couple so I'll go 3-1. Will probably go 3 in the midfield.

Wilson
BNC Rose Doyle Bidwell JWE
Hamer Sheaf Allen
Palmer
Vik

That looks by far the most likely team.

BNC got an assist at Burnley for Rotherham earlier in the season. So by that limited data in say stick him in.

If they play as we know we can that isn’t a bad team might surprise Burnley a bit. Going to be weak from the bench though but that’s how it is at the moment.

I'd be tempted to go 4-5-1
