this is getting ridiculous now he has shot up to favorite in the betting. although wouldn't mind him as manager, our fortunes took a turn for the worse when he left last time. As another poster mentioned on here it just goes to show the bookies have now idea who next manager will be

Last club he had 54% win ration and also 42% at Walsall. 40% in the Swedish League. Surprisingly good!

Yep, can't see why there should be any outcry against him.

Would prefer him to many.

Yea he has a decent record

Has nearly a 40% or more win ratio at every club apart from his first in 94

If you look at his last 180 games it is probably 50% win

I like how he got sacked form Luton for having a go at a fan. Imagine the fans here if he shouted back to them after they abused him, they would have a heart attack.

not got a bad record as a manger, and did alright with our youth

Tell that to Luton fans! He had a decent L1 budget (in the BSP!) there and failed to get them promoted as well as being massively unpopular. He's not the man.

You are all having a laugh aren't you, Richard Money ffs ! Is he the experienced campaigner to breathe life into our dormant club we all want instead of the likes of Shaw and Carsley. Get me the tablets dear.

Having read his wiki page I think he could be very good for us, he has an affinity for the club and knows how to get a team promoted/ challenging

Rather have him than Staunton.

Notice that I said promoted/ challenging 3rd counts as challenging

Getting Luton "challenging" in the BSP is a bit like getting Chelsea or Man U "challenging" in the Premiership: it's the default setting at the start of the season. He had money every transfer window to bring in the pick of the divisions players, WHICH HE DID, and still blew it. He was hanging onto his job by his finger-nails long before he was fired. Are you honestly saying that a failed BSP manager is a candidate for a failing L1 club? Is there another club in our division who would take him? Or do we want someone who "knows the BSP" in preparation for our "The New Luton" status?

The man has the winningest record in Luton's history! He took them to second and third in the table. Perfect? No, but certainly not poor enough to comprehensively rule the man out, especially considering his track record elsewhere.

IN THE LOWEST DIVISION IN THEIR HISTORY? Context. He failed.

Context? You are the one writing off his entire history and then dismissing him because of a perfectly good record at Luton. My god.

I'd take a 52% win record whatever the context - 23 wins in a season - bit better than 8 or 9!
