They were in default the moment they did not pay the debt, they then defaulted again by not paying interest and again when they gave the NOI

Wasps or ACL? Wasn’t the wording “an insolvency event”.

Its Richard Heneghan, he’s spent the last few years complaining about bus lanes in the Observer and on Twitter. He’s a well known local weirdo.
thought i recognised his style

I always thought that council hater on Twitter clearly was ITK?

Hopefully he is right to tell us to be calm and duggins fucking off
It's not a huge leap to suggest if Reeves goes, then his ally (and council leader) will find his position weakened, especially as we know the sharks have been nibbling for a while.

So you make that claim with certainty, and look ITK if it happens. If it doesn't, then it's not hard to come up with a plausible reason why it hasn't.

How long was this "mirrored arrangement" for? Guessing it was just until the end of the season?

Also as someone else put it... how can you sign something from somebody that doesn't yet own any lease??
Mirrored surely says it was a continuation of the original license, so the 7ish years remaining. Not sure how else we can take that any other way.

Out of interest, has the current shitshow modified your enthusiasm for him as prospective owner...?
Well if we skip to the part where he's actually in charge, he would still be far better than the current incumbents. But if he really is intent on taking over the club this is a very strange way of going about it.

Not at all concerned by a prospective owner who thinks nothing of potentially making the club homeless (again)?

Yeah it's just I thought I remember him being right in the past about sunthing. Nout wrong with complaining about bus lanes if passionate about it. I like him

Fuck the council

someone would have to be able to beat him in the election though as leader is an elected position

It concerns me greatly. But currently with the worst owners in the 92 we are the epitome of beggars who can't be choosers
It's fair to say it'd be hard pushed to find someone worse (Liz Truss doesn;t fancy taking over a club?), but I'd still like to aim slightly higher.

Yeah, but Brightons right, it's probably the best we can hope for.
It's depressing

Currently I'm in the Doug King camp, just because I don't have a bloody clue who he is so can only be surprised by the depths of insanity he can plunge to, rather than sitting here doing an immensely irritating told you so as we plunge from crisis to crisis!

I don't think is a serious bid.

On twitter there are a few.

There are plenty on here refusing to condemn what is an incredibly aggressive and destabilising action. People should be furious, it is an outrageous step they have taken, but it's all yeah but, no but, Seppala, handbags blah blah. Fuck sake.

Seppala is the queen of aggressive action and the master of destabilising behaviour

You reap what you sow I’m afraid

This whole episode tells me that any idea that he’s planning a wave of investment to get us into the Premier League ASAP was just wishful thinking. The man sees some way to extract money from this football club, and doesn’t give a shit which league they’re playing in as long as he’s still getting paid (see also: United, Newcastle)

Some good news for us Cov fans :D. CovTel are reporting (no actual comments, just one of their colleagues for the B'Ham Live) that we won't be back at Birmingham if the eviction actually does happen.

"It remains to be seen if the current issue can be resolved but Coventry will not be returning to St Andrew's, according to our colleagues at BirminghamLive.

"With the situation currently unresolved there has been speculation as to where Mark Robins’ team would play their home game with Swansea City on Saturday week. Despite the fact the clubs shared St Andrew’s for two seasons BirminghamLive understands that is not now on the cards," reports Blues writer Brian Dick."

So for those looking forward to a trip to Walsall, it is a possibility. But I would like to put in an alternate venue for future consideration. Villa Park :) Villa play at home in one of the European cups on Thurs 15th Dec and then again at home on Dec 26th. So if we want to have a sellout over 10K on 17th, it could be done at Villa.

It’s factually accurate - she’s a disaster - your defending the indefensible is noted

You've got absolutely nothing to add Grendel.

Wasps have done this - yeah but SISU did this in ...

Frasers have just done this - yeah but wot about SISU in ...

It's a really aggressive action - yeah but Joy is queen of aggression...

Wot about, wot about.

The only thing I'm defending is my football club, speaking out against the latest in a long line of parasites looking to screw it over.

Football clubs are precious, they are the beating hearts of communities and CCFC is this city's biggest civic asset. People should be enraged that Frasers have made this threat, it is an appalling act.

Then why take action that could so dramatically hurt the club's league standing? (assuming he actually wants to buy CCFC)
