Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC (5 Viewers)

[Grendel]

That's gotta be one of our lot on the wind up surely?

The falcon I suspect is Boosh - stupid vulgaris and his motley crew think he’s genuine. They fell for the other Boosh account for a while as well

[AOM]

This is us we're talking about, with our luck the meeting will be to announce that they've found some billionaire to bail them out.

Yep and it's probably us that are moving to London

So the question is are FRP there in an advisory role on restructuring the debt or there as administrators. Although the company offers both services looking at their website the statement seems to suggest the former. But given the timetable of intent to appoint an administrator you would think the latter. Maybe they’ve been onboard for a while and now their duties are changing. Maybe that’s how we were able to get reassurance for Wednesdays game.

If it’s meeting the employees it will be the latter

wasps business - Grendel there telling them how much of a shyster Richardson and Vaughan are (literally had to create a thread for Grendel )

rugby family - “ Richardson has fucked them”

I almost want them to play 1 more game so he can tell them it’s their last game in the match thread

If they are here there’s nothing we can do

A couple of them Kent Wasp especially has been saying the same for a while

The real issue I have is what appears now to be almost blatant deception by the board to keep trading and trading while insolvent - even signing a player from Saracans knowing full well the game was up weeks ago

Creditors will be out of pocket and it could finish some who’ve acted in good faith

Just not acceptable

Whatever Sisus many many faults - other than the deliberate rent issue - they’ve always endured everyone gets paid

Didnt have you down as a conspiracy theorist. The only reason the Telegraph did not run storys is financial, Wasps would have pulled advertings and they would have lost revenue. The BBC has been accused of impartiality as reporters have included opinion and not just facts in its media. When they stick to facts and let the viewer decide its fine and thats for both the left and right.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist I'm just telling you what the reality is. Look at the appointments to the BBC's senior management over the last 10 years or so.

Literally everything to blame here;

Covid (usual VV drivel)
Brexit
Sisu
Ukraine Russia War.

Account Suspended

Well everything other than the actual root cause. Incompetent management and a failed business strategy which was doomed from day one

Vulgaris really does put the capital D into deluded

You missed out the RFU -

I just cannot believe those that supposedly ‘run’ the sport that we love so much have on the face of it completely washed their hands of us and Warriors and are now focused completely on a future without these two clubs. They’ve literally done nothing to try and help.

Yer, how could they have let Wasps spunk c£90m!!!

Can we leave the seats to spell 'Wasps' in the east stand but add 'are dead' underneath?

Is it to early to be removing the old wasps signs from the stadium?

I heard the big Wasps logo on the outside of the ground is being replaced with

[fatso]

Is it too early to call for a bank holiday and street parties?

Completely agree with this. We all knew it was bad, even if the Wasps supporters insisted everything was fine, but I don't think any of us realised how bad. All sorts of stories coming out now about late payment of wages and real financial issues going back years. One paper reported Wasps engaging consultants knowing they had no means of paying them.

The worry for me is how many local businesses will end up losing out here.

No doubt it will all be glossed over but there really needs to be a look at how long they've been trading insolently.

[ceetee]

It got passed over to another wasps director and name changed to just being a performance centre and removed wasps name from it.

I guess they would run it for a few months say its not viable and then it becomes houses. I sure at one.

Im sure a while ago a wasps director was made a director for a housing construction company.... (cant remember who)

Did they get an improvement grant from some sports organisation on for it?

And if so was it given to "Wasps"?

Blimey they can't win can they

The work done for the amount of money they received for the CWG is another on the long list of things that seemed a bit suspect to me. Not to mention that by complete coincidence a new Wasps shop appeared in the area the work was done in.
