We didn’t even have a scouting network then Pressley used to sign anyone who fancied a game
When any team sells their top scorer and talisman it doesn't usually go well, we've been relegated after selling or losing a top scorer 3 times

Keane, Armstrong and…? My mind has genuinely gone blank

In fairness the most recent example was McNulty and we barely missed him in my opinion

In fairness to Pressley he called out the fact we didn't have a scouting system.

We really were rock bottom then and it wasn't Pressley's fault.

And as for signing anyone who fancied a game? I have been more concerned about who some City fans are prepared to sign and give a game too.

If you think we have a good shot at promotion with our current squad, or think we’re at serious risk of going down if we lose Gyokeres and don’t properly replace him, then I see the logic in keeping him. Personally I don’t think either scenario is likely, so I’d rather cash in our only valuable chip while we still have it and rebuild the squad. Assuming we don’t fritter away the money, the transfer fee we could get is much more valuable to us than another low-to-mid-table finish. This current squad has hit a wall, it needs investment, not another spin of the wheel.

Looking forward to getting back to focussing on a Championship game of football.

Confident our first XI is strong enough to win and they should be extra motivated after no proper football in two weeks.

Dabo for Eccles is the only change from Sunderland. Allen cannot play 10 but we have no other choice. Palmer isn’t ready which is massively frustrating.

2-0 Gyokeres, Panzo.

2-1 Cov win. Full strength team out, world's of different from the cup game. Gyokeres to score again.

Why the fuck are we talking about transfers in this thread? Bore off.

I think the second scenario is more likely now given O'Hare is missing for what could be a prolonged period

A tough game but we have done fairly well away at Millwall, I think it will be a close game so going for a 1-1 draw.

Tough game, I'd settle for a point, which means I'd start one up front, and play another body in midfield (if we have one)

If we start this game as poorly as we did against Sunderland it will be all over after 30 minutes, so something needs to change.

Tough game but think it will give us an idea of where we are after the slow start against an up for it Sunderland. Millwall are a decent outfit.

I would start Eccles in front of Dabo, the kid deserves another chance, he’s full of talent and has a lot more to show us, Millwall are a poor team so gives Eccles a chance to get his confidence back

3-0 cov 💙💪🏼
They finished three places above us last year and have added some good signings this season so they arnt a poor team. Be lucky to get a point today

Only finished with 5 points more tho, we was on holiday for a few games towards the end of the season and I don’t rate the recruitment they’ve made, don’t think they’ve improved their squad from last season

If they’re a poor team then we’re pretty shit.

If you wanna look at it like that then fair enough but I would back the sky blues to beat any team on our day 💙SBA
As would I, but Milwall are by no means a poor team. They got some good shit housing players in there, that will piss us all off but also know how to play football quite well as well as kicking the hell out of our players
