Aren't loans normally sorted in the last week or so of the window? I'd expect any imminent signings to be permanent, or have i just made that up?

Not really. It entirely depends on the parent club and their personal circumstances.

Some hold off on sending their players out on loan until they finalise their own business - so not to leave them short in a particular position.

Which is why you often see a number of loan deals secured in the final few weeks/days of the window.

Yeah I think that's pretty fair, I agree that most of the early business we do I would imagine would be permanent signings and then later in the window we will add a loan or two on top. Like we have the last few summers.
2 years ago, Ostigard was announced 27th August and Sheaf on 4th September (although the season didn't start until 12th Sept) but they were the latter business we did.

And then last season we got all our permanent business done and then JCS and Maatsen came in 30th July and JCS mid august.

Think you are correct loans normally come from premiership clubs tend to happen when those clubs have sorted their squads out which is the back end of the transfer window.

Last season it was slightly different because players were given time off with the Euros

I think we will see a lot more of howley next season so may not need another CM if we keep what we've got. 🤞

He really wasn't. People repeatedly pointed out that he wasn't up to the level. Robins repeatedly played him so people got more and more frustrated

There was an on going thread about him even got comments on it when he didn’t play. To say Robins repeatedly played him is untrue He was only used 14 times in the season just gone and about half the games the season before plenty of them a sub. He was the boo-boy for some fans who will likely replace him with somebody else.

Agree, he's 24 now. When he burst onto the scene at league 2 he was welcomed and loved, think back to Notts County away and then in league 1 he was key, he got his own song and was worshipped as one of our own. He didnt make the grade at Championship level and therefore he has been sold with our best wishes as a good servant.

Yet you get irate when people say the same about Kelly whose nowhere near championship level

Comments like "he's a disgrace", "not fit to wear the shirt" & saying that the only reason he gets picked is because MR shagged his sister aren't exactly reasonable are they?

Or lazy as fuck

Is there not another thread for bickering, can we get back to transfer shouts on this one, surely ones imminent with the news from last week
If it is Mats Knoester then he still has relegation play offs games to play which could explain the hold up
