It is, if you have a positive LFT that should be sufficient to make you isolate. Lab capacity is finite as are consumables and reagents

PCRs can sequence the viral DNA you’re carrying and therefore keep track of dominant or emerging variants. So I stick by my comment.

Huh? You said you wanted a vaccine shot when you were stuck in lockdown moaning about the gym being closed. Then you spent weeks moaning about how the vaccine rollout wasn’t fast enough:

Now you’ve pivoted to “Here’s this chart I found online that says the booster might make you catch Omicron - let’s all boo the nasty vaccine companies” Bit sad, really.

You do realise there's been a year, multiple jabs and it's still going on?

So yeah, views will change. I got the first jab thinking it would help get rid of covid, at the time it was also a different beast to Omicron.

What's your point?

I'd still take jabs from Joshua if it brought an end to it all.

Should I still be celebrating winning League 1 when we lost at home to Millwall?

So the vaccines have lost then, in your view?

Funnily enough, I had noticed that Covid is still going on. I’ve also noticed that our economy is completely open again, when this time last year we were all stuck inside. Why do you think that is?

You’d “still take jabs from Joshua”…..give me a break. Everyone can see from the post above you were begging for the same vaccine that you’re now trying to shit-talk every day. Easy to play the tough guy when there’s zero consequences for you being double jabbed and everything back open again, I suppose.

It's not though, is it?

It’s night and day compared to January 2021. Pubs open, gyms open, crowds at the football, no limits on travel or social gatherings. Why do you think that is?

(Clue: You once said you were so impatient for it you’d be willing to get punched by Anthony Joshua for it!)

Just dumb - it’s like the restaurant at my hospital - only one household allowed per table or one member of staff on each
I asked the bozo, who was constantly going around telling people, what the logic was behind it when he said me & 2 other workmates weren’t allowed to sit together,(bearing in mind we sit all together in an office for 7 hours of the rest of the day),& he said they were under orders - ridiculous & based on no science whatsoever

shit that, hopefully you'll soon be over it. My daughter tested positive on Thursday, felt rough Friday and was a lot better yesterday so hopefully it's mild in your case as well.
The weird thing is the 2 people I know who've been hit the worse with this recently are both fitness fanatics, one ended up overnight in hospital though not in ICU. It's such a peculiar illness.

Well I've got to be honest I felt normal new years eve , didn't go out .. woke up about 4 in the morning yesterday with shivers .. went back to sleep .. woke up at 8 am and felt like I'd been hit by a bus .. the headache is off the charts tbh and it's ontop of my head ..

Today I feel a bit better than yesterday , still got a headache just pouring with sweat 20220102_073803.jpg

May be talking bollocks as usual, but watching the news now and people panicking about staff sickness at work, pupil sickness at school and how we're going to cope.

If there really was up to a million cases per day for the last few weeks, then surely there's not many left for the virus to infect and the arse should fall out of cases soon?

Especially as Xmas mixing is now over a week ago???

I think Whitty was saying this could burn itself out pretty quickly and that's what you're saying here. I think people are really unsure how this Omicron wave will go though still.

They really see no irony in boasting of ‘face to face teaching’ when nobody can actually see anyone’s face. Stop ruining education for the lowest risk people

Why would I make this up you bore? I actually think you just don’t want to believe it because it’s not in line with the weird narrative in your head

I remember a time when people didn’t bother having family days out a test centre to see if they were ill - they just didn’t bother going out anywhere
I notice how they’ve found 1 solitary case of what they call ‘florona’ in Israel now too,a mix of flu & corona - is this the next shit they’re going to try & make us live in fear of?

Was chatting to a mate of my Mrs. Who works frontline NHS and she's overwhelmed...mainly cos of the amount of asymptomatic isolators....she reckons asymptomatic front line staff should not have to isolate as its causing more damage than covid....and they all wear the PPE anyhow....

It's a fair point.

It’s true - most NHS staff are just at home twiddling their thumbs when they’ve got no symptoms

Interesting side note that whilst the global scientific and medical community agree we will have to "learn to live" with covid....China is still pursuing a zero tolerance zero cases policy....

....its almost like they know something the rest of the world don't innit?

Isolation isn’t seemingly stopping the spread so yes it has to come at some point if you are well enough go to work

Everyons going to be exposed sooner or later, i just recovered from a seriously bad infection tested negative for a few days, tested again this morning because i had night sweats and i am Positive again, my misses is also positive. We went out to a party new years eve so waiting on finding out if thats were we caught it, because we done private pcr test we should find out if it is omicron or delta in the next few days but my guess is omicron as the infeftion u had no more than 2 weeks ago almost screwed me sideways, im totally fine in myself though not symptoms apart from the sweats.

Same for mine in local hospital but the ICU is getting increasingly overwhelmed with very ill non-vaccinated people. This then has a knock-on effect for treating others.

Yeah...about 1200 in Italy ICU and rising quickly I believe....but that's still more delta isn't it?
I know Poland is currently struggling with large delta deaths..... and France is looking proper scary...especially as they reckon they've got a 2 week lag before their omicron wave takes off....
