I'm sure the British Transport Police could stick the odd officer at station doors just to remind people. Not fines and shit, I don't really want to see that, but a presence would help in itself. They generally stand around doing sod all anyway so why not.The problem when you move the onus from government onto companies and organisations, innit. You get some deciding it's not a legal requirement, so fuck 'em (as an aside, it's not a legal requirement to give your kid a Christmas present, or be polite to your wife, but most people do do things that aren't a legal requirement for the sake of others) and the general messaging it gives out is it's all over.
But, you and I will be told we're scared soon if we carry on, so I'm out.

 . I’ll be interested to see if Holland’s 7pm curfew has a huge impact...all I know is when they tried the 10pm curfew here loads were out on the piss from 1pm Saturdays...suddenly everyone wanted bottomless brunch tables...even 20 stone geezers !
