Don't think Waghorn is getting the credit he deserves for a genuinely high quality bit of final third cutting edge for his goal, which I don't believe any of our other strikers would have taken.

Superbly weighted outside of the foot first touch to play himself in, little step over to buy himself the split second he needed to hit a smart finish at goal.

He might not be a 3m player anymore but think he will contribute some much needed guile and attacking experience over the next few seasons.

Love the way he buys a foul and breaks up play. Didn't a couple of times yesterday when they were getting op top and it gave us a breather and time to regroup.

Watch the iFollow interview. He was asked about the strikers and said something along the lines of “there’s loads of things in the buildup to the game, on the way in I get a phone call one of the players is struggling and needs to be looked at”

How do you even dig up stuff from 2016? Do you just print screen certain comments and have a memory bank of things to use against people? I’m intrigued

I'm sure they had to twist his arm really hard to take a Premier League move. Sure he'd have rather stayed in league one.

There were other clubs interested that stayed in the premier league he was forced to sign

Interesting that sheaf was not 100% and still put on the bench ahead of Shipley
Who?

Only joking, Shipley has been good for us as we progressed from league2, to the championship, I just think he needs to find himself a league 1 club to get regular first team football now.
Allen has done fantastically well to get himself back into the team, but I just cant see Shipley fitting in with our style and quality now.

Back on topic, I know someone else posted player ratings from an app they used which looked a bit off to me. Found out that an app I’ve recently downloaded does the same, and probably reflect the game quite accurately for me:

Any thoughts?

My biases for a LCB must be showing because I thought JCS did OK.

I’ve gone the opposite way to many on Maasten after Saturday; I had no concerns previously but he frustrated me slightly at the weekend.

The giving the ball away for their chance was a big mistake, but I’m not actually too concerned with that. He was over confident trying to do step overs in his own third and I’m pretty sure won’t be trying that again.

My annoyance was his giving the ball away. Loved the fact he wants to get forward, but a few too many misplaced passes from memory, or if stats don’t back that up and/or at key times.

Minor overall, and think he’s an exciting LWB who will continue to improve.

I thought he was ok too. His covering and positional sense were much improved and he was keen to bring the ball out a few times.

Clearly not fit yet though, which is slightly surprising as I thought he had a decent pre season.

I think he's one of the weak links in the team .. I know I know shoot me .. but I've seen enough to make that assumption

Dabo did more in his 10 minute cameo on the left than he did the previous 80 or so

One thing which will likely count against him (or not for him, at least) is that both times he came over to cover, their striker was flagged offside which meant it wasn’t really considered part of the game statistically.
