It’s the “reduced efficacy after three months post second jab” but that’s worrying me.

April was “second jab month”, which means efficacy will start dropping for the most vulnerable around August time, which is also when the summer lull starts to end. Just hope we can get boosters out I suppose
This is why I've left it the full 12 weeks between jabs, get my second next Saturday but was given the chance to change to earlier a couple of weeks ago.
I'd have a jab every month if it beat this thing, would even give it myself like a diabetic does with insulin.

So basically get your jabs when you are offered them.

From Monday all restrictions here will be lifted apart from mask wearing and social distancing.

Yeah but would you rather live in Italy?

So in hindsight what would ‘Dave’ have done differently?

Not put the person responsible for the biggest date breach in UK history in charge of track and trace to the tune of 37 billion of taxpayer's money.
Not allowed the Health Secretary to award the landlord of his local a whopping PPE contract.
Not neatly got himself killed shaking hands with covid patients after scientists told him not to.
There's plenty more.

I’m sure ‘Dave’ Starmer would have done it differently.

Not decided a trade deal was more important than stopping a new VOC from being able to to seed itself in the UK

Two things happen upon vaccination

First being that masses of antibodies are produced against the antigens the body is exposed to. These on their own are usually enough to suppress an infection, but will not be in the bloodstream forever.

Second is the production of memory cells by the immune system, which stay around for much longer (and are how the childhood jabs you receive e.g. MMR will work). When you get infected some distance down the line these cells go slightly bonkers in producing antibodies in large quantities and at a high rate. As the vaccine programme has only been in effect for 6 months this effect is harder to measure and gather usable data on.

I'll have a look at the longitudinal studies in a bit

Is antibody response dependent on vaccine or the body?
What is the Dave thing about?

It’s like an even worse version of Keith.

No one who support Alexander de Pfiffle Johnson or whatever his name is wants to start pulling at that thread let’s be honest.

Talking purely about the Indian variant situation he wouldn't have allowed thousands and thousands of people in for weeks all just to appease Modi.

If lockdown is extended beyond 21st June that's purely on Johnson. Will you criticise him for that if it happens?

Oh OK, just a bit of witless derision. Was hoping there might be some clever punchline.

Yes totally but I don’t think it will tbh.
The government need to stick to this now and imo if they do and over the summer things improve again it’ll be another 4/5 years of Boris.
Dave Starmer will need to be jumping through hoops to get anywhere near number 10.

Genuinely think there is as much chance of city winning the champions league in the next 5 years as there is Johnson being in charge in 5 years time. Not saying the Tories won't be.

Really could go in a stellar direction or bomb to a catastrophic nadir.

My family are Binley kids ex miners and I’d love nothing more than a decent Labour government but I feel they’re just so far out of touch with the working class in lots of areas atm That it’ll be years before we see the likes of Wilson again.

Well of course the tories have always been the friends of the working man, at least they would be if he could afford £500,000 to buy a seat in the lords.
