I’m anti-‘settle for a point’, but if we draw away to Bournemouth I’d be happy.

A few six pointers for Birmingham to come , that should they take point's would still potentially help us , Barnsley potentially to do favours too .
Qualification :- I haven't studied in depth or tabulated things , just an impression.

Think if we beat them, 45 points might be enough to keep us up.

You make a reasonable point actually.

Originally I thought us staying up was largely dependent on Birmingham being worse, but with them picking up points and Rotherham going the other way, providing Wycombe and Sheff Wednesday stay down there we might be alright if we can do Rotherham.

They are fooked !
Today will have really hurt them. Hopefully it’ll knock their momentum. However they’re 7 points behind us with 3 games in hand and a better goal difference (effectively an extra half point). Their games in hand are all ones the could feasibly get something from.
We were also crap 3 days ago and won relatively easily (for us!) today.
Add into that we’ve still got to go to their place. Our game at the New York stadium is still likely to be crucial. Not a “must win”, but a “must not lose”

On the old % table we started today at 37% chance of going down

Us 37%
Brum 33%
Roth 21%
Derby 7%

Its now
Us 23%
Brum 31%
Roth 38%
Derby 10%

still a lot of work to do though but things looking a lot rosier tonight.
It would be amazing to get something at Bournemouth but I'm not hopeful. Rotherham is the big one.
Yeah I think Bournemouth are going to hit their stride and win the playoffs. Just won 3 games in a row, scoring 8 goals against Swansea, Middlesbrough and Blackburn. As improved as today was it would take something monumental to go there and get even a point.

it's pretty much inconceivable that we don't pick up more points at home as well, though we're quite capable of fucking it up.
That's 4 losses on the bounce at home for Rotherham now. We've got to be confident of at least getting a point up there.

Rotherham need to really pick points up over their next 4 matches..as their last 6 are pretty tough with 4 being away

As a Rotherham fan you'd be looking at that run in and you'd have to be somewhat concerned Screenshot_20210405-172919_FlashScore UK.jpg

I agree.
I genuinely think we targeted today’s game as a winnable one, and I feel we went to QPR without ever believing we’d get anything.
However today’s performance should give us the confidence to go to Bournemouth and at least get a point.

I think so as well. Very risky game to play but paid off.

Agreed but a lot easier said than done

they've lost 4 on the bounce at home and they looked knackered at the end. The coaching staff were handing out energy gels like sweets.
We've got to be looking at getting something up there.
I think the missed penalty at Millwall and todays results will really have knocked them mentally to go with their physical exertion.

Your bet was on the premise Godden would not score in the remaining fixtures? What the hell are you talking about Grendel? Don't make a fool of yourself repeatidly.

You said “all the remaining games”

I totally agree, just saying we still need to go up there and do a job. Giles came in for quite a bit of flak I saw.

Fuckin hell Weds just scored
I still think the fractured nature of fixtures , largely due to TV scheduling produces an advantage to team's that play after the results of the competition .

Edit:- they can't change our result but they can react to it and use it as a motivational tool
