Why the fook didn’t he make a bastard substitute?

He did that earlier in the season and basically caused the injuries of key players by overplaying them.

He then went through a phase of making subs at the right times to save our players legs.

Tonite he took off Kelly at the right time but should have rested Dabo and Walker, possibly Hamer.

Robins has been brilliant in patches-he needs to be fuckin proactive and look at the big picture.

Massive game on Satdee and most of our players will be blowing out of their arses.

I’d have brought someone on up front fro fresh legs but he doesn’t rate them I suppose. I don’t either, but agree they’re still worth a go near the end.

No they were signed for League 1 Boro have been in Championship for 4 or 5 years and before that the Premier.

Barnsley still above them?

Conceding so many soft goals could end up killing us. All the hard work goes in and some good bits of play but then a switch off and we've conceded. Mentally it's hard to keep recovering from that, you could see how hard it was on the players when that second shit goal went in.

The big issue is quality at either ends of the field. Teams have it and we don't because we're assembled on a shoestring budget. So we get into good areas and are toothless, yet when they attack you see lapses in concentration or lack of skill. All of our defenders have mistakes in them, especially the two on the left side of the defence, but all of them are only average for the division or less, and the same goes for the strikers. Godden may not be top class but he's been such a big loss for us.

BTW I thought Biamou had a good game today in holding the ball and using it, but he was obviously half dead for the last 15 or so minutes. They have quality and millions of pounds of players to bring on and it's a big difference.

We might have if we had addressed it in January

Mate you were calling for us to to sign a journeyman carthorse who has had 1 good season and that season was at a lower level than this.

Pipe down about the January window.

The big problem is that our midfield make the forward pass from the defensive third, the team is so deep. Walker spins off hoping for a ball from Biamou which never comes.

He was asleep in our best attack of the second half and caught off side - you said so yourself.

The best we have looked recently was against Brentford where we played with real intensity since then we have gone back to how it was.

Østigard for Rose for me but agree otherwise. Rose reminded me of me with his reaction time for that second goal.
Hyam HAS to come out of the team. He’s an error waiting to happen. If you don’t want to play Rose then go to a back 4 because Hyam cannot stay in the team. I think Rose is a good player but completely out of match fitness so we either play him or give up on him until next season.

Just so fucking obvious that we needed fresh legs and it was going to cost us. 1 sub. Joke

Using only one sub, when generally playing two games a week doesn't make much sense to me. Fresh legs always help at end of game even if the players brought on are slightly inferior. Can make 5 subs , why not make at least 2 or 3?

However that's not the the real reason, the whole season of games follow pretty much the same pattern. I have never experienced such a consistent and predictability of games following City . If we stay up we will be very lucky, although its still very possible. Sensing now too many 'non away' games not producing wins. Games will be running out if we have bad results against Derby, Rotherham, Luton and Wycombe.

It's bullshit though, should we just not bother?

If anything we should be more proactive against it, rather than letting them come on against players who are blowing out of their arse.

Who on our bench do you look at and think "He'll come on & win us the game" ?

I know the pitch is poor but the long aimless ball up to biamou tactic so poor. We to start getting it on the ground by going long we completely bypass our best players O'Hare and Hamer.

Do Barnsley have a £50 million forward? Whose to blame if we can’t have subs that change the game?

Shut up you prat. Weren't yyou defending Wilson for the earlier goal? Good god
Nope just saying it’s a fab ball in . I think we all have bi polar. To be fair I did previously a week or so ago. We need to find 5 performances between now and the end of the season. I think we will

I'm happy with a 4, I think you get the best out of Østigard in a 4. Hyam has struggled but I've always rated him over Rose.

Do we go back 4 and add an extra midfielder? Can't really add and attacker ordo we bring Jobello in and push O'Hare left?

The big mistake from Robins subs wise was not taking Dabo off for Pask with 20 minutes to go. Dabo is clearly not fully fit and he wasn’t looking at it at all. Low and behold he goes following the ball leaving their man completely free in the box and they score.

But that also runs the risk of losing the shape & losing what would have been a credible point hence most changes are like for like.
It's a difficult one.
So we did nothing and lost and that makes us look incompetent. Make the changes and lose and you can at least say it’s because we haven’t got the players.

I am not say Borough are great I am saying we have just come from League 2 and League 1. We are still carrying some of that standard.

We can all name half a dozen players who arent at this level - but banging on about it at every opportunity really proves nothing about your knowledge of football.

On a really bad pitch why make it worse by giving it a really good soaking before the game surely that cannot have played into any tactics we may have been thinking of deploying for this game. Along with the poor decisions on the lack of subs, really hard to take tonight's result

It is, but it still doesn't explain why a player clearly out of energy isn't replaced with fresh legs. So maybe they're not worth millions but if they've got some energy it's going to be better than a player with none. Not like they're replacing Ronaldo with Ron Aldo from down the road.

Even more reason for us to put fresh energy on then because we have worse players that are more tired.

At some point you are going to have to accept that while we’re in the same league as teams like this... we’re not in the same league as teams like this.

Who’s coming on to turn the game ? Baka ?
