Somebody explain this to me. Just checking the early game at Derby, and Derby have a returning player from a 1 match suspension for picking up 5 yellows. Yet people are talking about dropping Hamer for a game, so that he doesn't get suspended for a game???!!! Me no understand the logic.

Yeah, that's right...doesn't matter what game it is, he'll pick up a 1 match ban for the next game if he gets another yellow. I guess it's just a case of picking and choosing which game you would/wouldn't want him missing. He'll inevitably pick up at least one more booking at some point.

A vital match tonight, and a much needed 3 points would be very welcome, but we will definitely need to play with far more energy than we have shown in some previous midweek games.
I'd like to see Hamer restored to the starting line up long with Sheaf and we need 2 upfront imho.

It isn’t either really, it allows us to pass around if needed but an outlet also if we have to get it forward more quickly

Agreed it makes little sense to rest him now but can see why MR was reluctant to start him vs Wycombe.

He clearly did as he’s totally changed the tactics - he’s playing a far more direct form of football and realises the midfield can’t play the way they have been. As soon as he put two up front against Wycombe we started to get battered and were lucky to hang on
