Can't believe Hiwula stikll doesn't have a club, would definitely score goals of a L1 side. Have Robins and Viveash broken him?
At best he was nothing more than a bang average league 1 player, in reality he's just a squad filler, and an expensive one at that.

At his age there are lads many years younger than him at every club who will have more talent, have more commitment and show far more effort in games and play for far less money.
(Bapaga for example)
Hiwula is a typical example of a player who never took his opportunity.

He was our top scorer first season back in L1. He’s got a good record at that level. Hell do well if he finds a club.

Phil Babb was the pundit on the Irish game last night ! Made us a bit of money in his day although generally he is seen as a Liverpool player by the press - we only get Dion Dublin sometimes and fortunately never Bell end

He needs three chances to score one. That was one of his problems.

From memory, one of his most infuriating habits on par with going missing for chunks of the game was his sheer reluctance to use his weak foot.

If he was ever put through, or found himself in the box looking to get a shot away, the amount of times he would attempt to drag the ball back onto his right rather than attempt a first time shot with his left was borderline innumerable.

Funnily enough, this was even demonstrated in some of the goals he actually scored. Ironically though, in the few times in which he summed up the courage to use his left, he was perfectly capable with it.

Hiwula’s best thing is that he scores against the teams he used to play for so the way he he heading he should get 25 a season soon. Best thing he can do is sack his agent or he could be out of the game for a while as he obviously wants too much cash for the level his ability will get him to.

But for a good spell when he linked well with Enobakhare, Hiwula wouldn't be remembered too fondly by our fans. He had talent, but missed an awful lot of sitters and also went hiding far too often for my liking.

Bohs smash three goals past struggling Cork City to secure European football and cut gap on Rovers

Dave Donnelly reports from Dalymount Park
BOHEMIANS WILL COMPETE in Europe for the second time running after making short work of a callow Cork City outfit at Dalymount Park on Friday night.
Andre Wright struck once in either half to take his tally for the season to seven, either side of Danny Grant’s fourth goal in a week, to cut the gap on league leaders Shamrock Rovers to five points.
If City caretaker boss Colin Healy wasn’t aware of the scale of the task that awaits between now and the end of the season, he surely knows now.
The academy head, appointed following Neale Fenn’s dismissal yesterday, has just four games, starting at home to Dundalk on Tuesday, to overtake Finn Harps and avoid automatic relegation.
He trusted in youth with the exciting striking talent Ricardo Dinanga and tenacious full back Uniss Kargo picked in the starting eleven but they struggled against a Bohs side back to their best.
Dan Casey forced his former teammate Mark McNulty to tip a bullet header onto the bar in just the third minute after Wright’s close-range shot had been forced behind.
Further chances followed for Dawson Devoy, Promise Omochere and Rob Cornwall in a frantic early period before Wright netted after 16 minutes.
A nice one-two between Omochere and Conor Levingston released the winger and he played in Andre Wright, who showed nice footwork to wriggle free and slot home coolly.

Grant doubled the lead four minutes later with a wonderful first-time finish to lob McNulty after Levingston picked him out with a no-look pass.
Cory Galvin struck the bar as City gradually found their way in the game but the killer third arrived seven minutes after the break as Wright nodded home Devoy’s cross at the back post.
Bohemians: James Talbot; Andy Lyons, Rob Cornwall (Michael Barker 79), Dan Casey, Anto Breslin; Keith Buckley (JJ Lunney 79), Conor Levingston (Keith Ward 66), Dawson Devoy; Promise Omochere (Ross Tierney 75), Danny Grant, Andre Wright (Dinny Corcoran 75).
Cork City: Mark McNulty; Uniss Kargbo, Joseph Olowu, Jake O’Brien, Kevin O’Connor; Gearoid Morrissey, Dale Holland, Cory Galvin (Cian Murphy 87); Ricardo Dinanga (Sean Kennedy 66), Cian Bargary (Henry Ochieng 79), Deshane Dalling.
Referee: Sean Grant.

I find it astounding how many pro's that have been through years of academy/training etc are still so reluctant or even unable to shoot with either foot. I spent ages just taking shots with my right foot in the garden so I was comfortable with it and I never had delusions of being a footballer other than as recreation. How come they can't do it?

Did the same learning to throw and catch with my right arm as well. Still not as good as my left but it's passable.

Steven Pressley covering Hearts v Dundee for Scottish sportscene on the Beeb (can watch live on laptop)

I've just watched first half Derby v Watford. Garbage (no shots on target, Watford a load missing, but still the better side

Derby look toothless.
Only have Waghorn & Kazim-Richards on the books up top, neither available today & not sure Kazim-Richards is even up to standard anymore.

Agree. Lawrence for Derby looked ok, and Rooney still has technique (but not the legs). They will definitely be bottom half this season. Watford had a lot missing and will be a threat this season.

Rooney has looked shocking everytime I’ve seen him play for the last few years...he’s average at best now,not even that,& reached his peak years & years ago - he offered nothing again tonight for Derby & was just ambling around for the most part...may as well trundle him out just to take free kicks & that‘s it

St Mirren's game called off today as a few of them have Cov-id (good luck Brandon Mason!) Also Drysdale started, but Eccles on the bench for Gills today.

I see Bayliss still isn’t making the Preston squad - it was an odd one at the time as they’re not a club you associate with youth development. They don’t have a U23 team either

That’s a lot better than most forwards at that level. He had a lot of pace as well. It must be an attitude thing as ability wise he was streets ahead of Biamou and Bakayoko

I can't believe Bayliss didn't get out on loan somewhere, even at L2. Rotting away.

Ogogo gone on loan to Dag and Redbridge from Bristol after being told he was free to leave and wouldnt be getting a squad number.
