Seems the is over egging dexamethasone to try and deflect from the free school meals u-turn
The school meals u-turn is good news, although not so good when the PM says he didn't know about the issue until yesterday. Starmer asked him about it in PMQs last week didn't he?

They've had to close all schools again in Beijing after another breakout

But but Dom says there won't be a second spike and we need to end lockdown immediately so he can go to the pub

Imagine agreeing with Katie Hopkins on anything ever. What a vile excuse for a human being. Good response from Marcus Rashford though

Just clocked that it’s a parody. Still apt though given that Katie Hopkins is a parody of a piece of shit.

I was thinking of bunging her a fiver out of charity

2 million children haven't done any school work.

Is that all the government's fault? How much of the fault is with parents who haven't forced it on their children?

Agree on the whole but there are households which struggle due to the technology basis of it. If you can't afford the tech or aren't tech savvy to set it up well it does limit what they can do.

Of course work could be dropped off by hand but that's yet something else a teacher has to fit into a schedule.

But ultimately parents have to take responsibility if a kid isn't doing the wrok.

Expect to see it from July 5th....
Couple of people I know who run bars, actually small music venues but small enough to come under pubs and bars, have only had information from their brewery and local licensing unit.

On the face of it that would make sense except they have made clear they are essentially best guessing as there's been no information passed to them. Obviously causes problems if the official advice doesn't turn out to be in line with what they're working to. For example they've been working on the basis of 2m distancing, now there's talk of it being changed but they can't even get a definite answer on when the review of the rule will be completed.

Could really use some confirmation on what's going on with hotels as soon I need to cancel or gamble on them being open in mid July. Already inclined to do so with masks needing to be worn all the time in Greece but even so.

As we edge up towards 50000 deaths will anyone apologise do we think? India and Brazil look like they will end up much worse than us in terms of numbers of deaths. Awful stuff

Never. There will be plenty of attempts to rewrite history that actually we did well though. That’s just the way things work nowadays, if something goes wrong just deny it & pretend it was actually good, and back it up with an all out social media onslaught.

Boris is already proclaiming it a great success

Most pub chains are already sending details?
Which they’ve tried to do themselves. Will it be a wasted effort when the government finally get their finger out of their arses and give different guidance?

So when he called it a great success at last weeks PMQs he wasn't really calling it a great success?

That's some hill to die on.

Called it remarkable as well

This was just before he talked about the free school meals campaign which he said today he only heard about today
