The amount of non news stories and clickbait headlines in the football section is infuriating like

Club chief makes interesting claim about report Coventry City's season will be cancelled

'In whatever scenario' - Club chairman's promotion claim will send Coventry City fans wild

Coventry City's rivals threaten to launch 'epic legal battle' if promotion is decided via EFL vote

And it goes on and on, whoever is in charge of that section needs quarantined...ok rant over.
I know I shouldn't read it but.

Same with all local papers nowadays I'm afraid. The newspaper from what I can tell is different from the website.

Newspapers are finished, I’ve gone from 6 Evening Telegraphs a week ten or so years ago to none, my kids have hardly ever bought one or a morning paper come to that.

Dont click their bait then.
By reading their shit you are statistically encouraging them to churn out yet more bullshit.
Yep-this. Turner since his “exclusive player retained list” gaff of 4-5 years ago has become a laughing stock.

I don't, I just check the section in the hopes there will actually be some actual news about something.
Last week there were literally two back to back headlines like 'fans will love what the EFL could decide about the end of season' and 'The EFL set to make decision that fans will hate' FUCK OFF!!

Can't believe it's still going. If it still is when I shuffle off this mortal coil I've given instruction for my funeral details to be relayed by a local chav, armed with an aerosol paint spray on the telephone exchange building. Guaranteed to be more accurate and with less spelling mistakes.

I spoke to someone from the CT on the phone on Friday about the situation with Coventry City and he told me something that would amaze fans.

Unfortunately this is true of all newspapers now as they are all circling the drain. What we see in the Telegraph can be seen at all local papers; poorly written clickbait stories rushed out by minimum wage trainees.

Just look at even the national broadsheets putting ever-changing predictions about when lockdown will end, when schools will open etc on their front page. Then you've got them celebrating the end of lockdown in their papers but on their websites shaming people who are outside this weekend. I was a journalist for 10 years and I absolutely detest what journalism now is.

This is the problem with clickbait. There's only so long it works for and when it stops working you've lost all your readers. The Athletic model is interesting. I'd be more than happy to pay a few quid a month for the Telegraph if the CCFC coverage was decent.

Part of me thinks this was a club ploy to discredit him and the CT. Deliberately feed them inaccurate info so when it turns out not to be true he and the paper look silly and like they're just making stuff up. Meanwhile give someone less critical like Reid the actual info so he looks in the know and thus when stuff about off field matters comes up the mindset in the supporters has been conditioned that Reid is the trustworthy source and the owners can use it as a propaganda machine.

Why don't you just say what you were told? Jeez! Talk about fuckin' click bait news!
Okay... this was it... Remember Bright Enobakhare? He is currently on lockdown... just like the rest of the Coventry players. Which maybe could only mean that there is a chance of him possibly considering a move... along with lockdown inmates Marc McNulty & Adam Armstrong.

I've more or less stopped clicking on any the waspgraph stories now about us, the article about the Wycombe player was journalism of the poorest degree ever, usually nowadays you can find out stuff about ccfc without needing to touch the waspgraph, can't remember the last exclusive they ever had

Always behind the curve on football stories, only ever click on the site if tgeirs been eg a murder. Pointless rag now really.

I have stopped using the Telegraph website as it has become virtually unusable due to all the other dross on the screen. The stories and articles are appalling. Who do local rags employ now? School leavers with 1 GCSE?

I rarely see the print version as I don't live in Coventry. Sometimes a mate brings one to the cricket at Edgbaston and I wonder why he buys it. Nothing whatsoever in it. A shameful rag when you consider it used to be good at one time.

Yep-a possibility no doubt.

My old Ma has it delivered everyday and there is about 7 pages and most are advertising and the news in written by a 4 year old with my skills in comprehension and spelling. She only gets it to see who has died lol!
Heaven help you if you want to announce someones death! When my old dad died 3 years ago it cost my old Ma £146 for 2 nights in the fooking thing. Who remembers job night on a thursday and cars for sale friday! All the local dealers used to queue up by the offices on a friday morning to grab the first edition (fook me remember that in red at the top!)and snap up all the bargain Mini metros Maestros Vivas etc....:woot:

'empty' - the actual amount of content in this article

'I'd like to' - former player on potential curry for dinner

'if' - the dramatic circumstances effecting star player dilemma (turns out it's Marcus Hall)

Remember the Blackburn game away in the cup?
I was in the sun and the telegraph and asked for a photo. Got one for £22 on the proviso I don’t use it for selling etc .
