@Nick This is getting stupid now. C word all over the place, accusations of racism, G, David and Tom at it (again...).

Can you either fuck them off to a separate thread, ban them for a few days or something?

This thread can be useful to hear how we're all getting on....Hill83 getting better, Shmmeee maybe having it, how others are doing in other countries, how we can help each other and offer advice (which I've been grateful for).

Do something about this thread. It's a joke....

Hey Tom, if you're so indignant at being accused of saying negative things about other cultures, because thats clearly so awful in your eyes- any thoughts on Coventrian's posts?

Nah, thought not
What the hell are you on about? I want to know where Davids accusations are coming from? I don't care about Coventrian, I'm talking about me.

I think you'll struggle to find a significant number of people were genuinely blown away by the Conservative manifesto . I think most just voted for what was more realistic. Yes his manifesto was short but in contrast, Corbyn's was ridiculously long and convoluted. As such many of his policies - whilst they would have almost certainly bettered Britain - were terribly unrealistic.

IMO a pretty significant proportion of those who I've spoken to who voted Labour didn't actually understand what they were voting for and instead, were insistent on making a big noise about Corbyn's ideology without doing any / very little research into how his policies could be successfully implemented. It's more or less comparable to people buying a book because they like the look of the cover. (Ironically I suppose the same can be stated for Brexit). I'll happily admit I liked some of Corbyn's policies but my primary concern with his manifesto was that by elongating the Brexit process, the prolonged uncertainty would've only served as a distraction / created further division and turbulence within the country. As such, he would've only put himself at risk of failing to deliver much of what was promised.

It’s odd how we’re told we’re the greatest country on the planet but have a long list of reasons for why we can’t do anything good so decided to vote for the people offering shit instead

76 days and Wuhan has finally lifted its lockdown, they aren't being cautious and are going mad with parties etc..... Are they not at all cautious of a second wave or do they have/know something we don't??

What proof is there that they've successfully tackled the first wave? I'd save yourself time Dom and just stop reading reports from there because at this point they're probably about as realistic as the Narnia Chronicles.

It's because politics has been reduced to snappy slogans get brexit done and all that. It's wrong to dream of a better world.

Say sorry
It would be a cold day in hell before I ever said sorry to you David. But then again i don't baselessly accuse you of things like racism. I'm not accusing you of being anything other than twat.

You assumed that non-whites can’t speak English. You wanted to sink boats of asylum seekers coming over the channel. You call anywhere with a high % of foreigners/non whites a shithole.

It’s not because of your colour or class, it’s because what you’re saying is objectively racist. I went to a mostly white uni by the way
I never mentioned colour you hysterical girls blouse.

If racism is do disgusting then why reserve all the indignation at someone you write off as merely a twat and refuse to go anywhere near Coventrian? Do yourself a favour, drop the mock outrage.

Their figures are likely bollocks but it is plausible that if you lock down a city for long enough everyone with the virus will die or recover. This is when start allowing people to move about again and you report the pathogen.

We shouldn’t reject policies we like because they appear hard to fund or implement. We should try all we can to make them work and find a way. Aim for the stars and reach the moon

I said it before- he makes some good points then sometimes can come across as a complete unhinged psycho- but for whatever reason he is kryptonite to you two, he makes you look a bit silly, so all good by me.

Yes saying say sorry is a wonderful style of debate

G and the other right wingers here awkwardly sidestep Coventrian because his posts are usually carnage. It would be doing everyone a favour if he was banned

Coventrians post was bollocks. Before he even popped on the scene I was was trying to get the root of what David was implying, why so defensive?

Does it pain you the government are now using the log scale graph in the daily briefing?

He doesn't get it- I don't care whether someone agrees with me, if I like something they say then I like it, doesn't matter. With him you must agree with every word or he has a huge meltdown.

The graph is brilliant, I'm glad for the guy that set it up, he's got a lot of recognition for it.

In theory yes. But if you're not reporting anymore deaths how are you going to convince the population of whether it's working or not. Unless reports are being reported accurately within China they're literally giving their own citizens a complete false sense of security and as such surely risking lives.

Im still waiting for evidence of the meltdown and answers to the questions I asked - one suspects I will be waiting a long time

The graph itself isn't the issue, it's how it's been set up and how the scale is being used to force the creators conclusions on people. Who don't under stand the data.

The only point I made was it is possible for the data to be correct.

Starting to accuse someone of racist when bringing a quote from the London mayor is barrel scraping
