The death rate at the start of the outbreak was claimed to be much higher than influenza and one year 26,000 in the uk died so if it’s contained to those levels with minimum disruption it’s a success. Even twice the level it is. It’s impossible to suppress go zero

On the 17th March, official figures put seasonal deaths from ordinary flu at between 58000 to 130,000 (it's hard to get an exact figure due to many patients having other underlying conditions)
In the same time period, GLOBAL deaths recorded for covid -19 were 5700 !!! (Almost ALL were over 70 and had underlying conditions)
Ask yourself, Does that justify the massive response?

Yes I agree, and it's that angle that worries me.
I honestly feel that this virus will be used as a reason to change the way we live, and will impact our civil liberties in a massive way.

The tax man will want his money back, and institutions will be nationalised before this is over.
Either way I see governments having far more control over us from now on than before.
That worries the shit out of me.
