BREAKINGUK deaths jump to 21
The total number of deaths in the UK from coronavirus has almost doubled in the past 24 hours, going up from 11 to 21, the National Health Service says.
That's also which the expected levels

Your theory is utter wank
Think if you read the post clearly I was passing on my brothers perspective. I think his views are motivated by not wanting the world to go into lockdown (when historically we haven't) so this doesnt effect City anymore than it has to.
I do find it Dissapointing that some people are full of rude responses but don't ever bother to develop their argument.

Bottom line tho it's 3.30 and I am writing about this not watching City and that's frustrating in the extreme.

Mate you start sharing antisemitic conspiracy theories about “leftist globalists” don’t complain you don’t get serious replies.

Ironic given your ramblings last week

Cool that's good. The percentage increase is pointless at these small numbers.

I'm not sure I'd describe it as good. About the 4th or 5th highest increase in the world over the last 24 hours. Of those that have reported today only Iran and Spain have reported higher increases (with France & Italy still to announce). Not sure why that is good?

It’s annoying. But you do have the option to ignore people ...I’m sure there will be enough people left to share views with...

Because it's not spiralling out of control

Meanwhile, the Rout of Civilisation begins with a small village in Hertfordshire.

For a 28 page document the governments plan has a disturbing lack of detail.

I think the detail would not really be understood by the British public

You’re quite right but most people wouldn’t make the effort to read it and the ones that would I think would appreciate a bit more detail.

No one here has even read they have they?

Depends on definition of out of control. It's rising at a rate that will overwhelm the NHS at the moment. It's growing at a rate similar too (slightly higher) than what Italy had at the same stage, so we can see where we are heading. Slightly more geographically spread here than it was in Italy though, so may start to see a slightly higher growth rate than they did at this stage. It'll slow eventually like it's started to in other countries. Italy have about hit peak now I suspect too (although what happens when they remove lockdown is anyone's guess).

To be fair. All I’m seeing in that photo is a few bits on the floor. Every time I pop over to Tesco when I’m on a night shift it’s like that.

Anyone seen any simulations similar to what the government may be using which say the peak is 12 weeks away?

Or maybe a link to a paper modelling pandemics in general?
