It's not just what you touch though - this IMO is where much of the misinformation lies. Covid-19 is actually most likely spread through person to person contact where viral particles are spread through coughing, sneezing etc.

The CDC also believes that whilst some coronaviruses can live on surfaces for days, touching a surface where the virus has recently landed is a less common method of transmission than if you were to come into contact with someone infected with Covid-19. This is why stadiums are of particular concern - especially as scientists are arguing that the virus is at its most contagious point when the affected are asymptomatic. Hence why simply being in close proximity to large groups is becoming ill-advised.

At the end of the day you can't actually say you are more likely to catch it from touch screens, hot desks etc. because even the experts aren't sure and information of this ilk seems to be changing daily.

It's not current medical advise that you're more likely to catch coronavirus down your local than at a stadium containing thousands. That's very much your lack of common sense I'm afraid.

I'm sure it was McDonald's (?) who have those touchscreens where they nearly all had trace of human excrement on when tested, which is still more appetising than the menu. The one that I've always been paranoid about are the general toilets at work, some students appear to be actual animals at the best of times with the lack of hygiene so I'm walking further just to get my business done safely

Since I was ill, I've always used hand gel daily and have opened doors, etc with my hand in my sleeve, as I have seen how dirty people can be, not washing their hands after going to the toilet, etc. You see it all the time in footy grounds. It's almost as it the world is catching up with me.

It isn't about them getting it its about them getting it and passing it on to someone who will die from it. Government says "We are banning large scale events for peoples safety" and these morons go "Nah fuck it, lets all get in a big group anyway"

The way Chinese treat animals is disgusting but I bet you lot have had KFC where the animals don't even get to walk they're so fat in their short lives or battery eggs where the chickens never get to move or foie gras where they force feed an animal until it is ready to burst.

We'd have a leg to stand on about their practices if we weren't still barbaric hypocrites. Theirs is just out in the open instead of hidden in a slaughter house.

This is the stuff they have out in the open, can you imagine what they do out of the public glare? I once went for a meal there when my food was live and I had to skewer it and boil it alive. It was a backstreet 'hotpot' place, but not of the Betty Turpin variety.

I say this without prejudice, because I have Chinese friends who live there who I speak to daily, some of whom are dog owners who are as appalled by the dog meat festival as we are. But, there is a chilling indifference to the treatment of animals in much of China which is truly shocking.

Up to 100,000 people visit Meadowhall shopping centre (all indoors) daily. Will that be closed? I suspect not, whereas 7000 people sitting outside at St Andrews is too much of a risk. Doesn't seem to be much consistency.
