The complaint can be swept under the carpet FFS

Linnell says he now thinks the indemnity is in place.
Thinks? Surely after being shown up last week he's looked into it properly and got a definitive answer. Even if that answer is Wasps refusing to comment it would be something.
Ohhh Linnell saying he heard lots of things off the record.

Interesting, Linnell is now saying that it can be requested to be forgotten about. Same bullshit CJ came out with after meeting wasps.
Of course he has, very convenient that as soon as the line the Telegraph and CWR stick to gets questioned its 'we know something you don't but we can't tell you'.

Funny how nobody has been able to find any evidence to back up this theory it can be forgotten about.

So linnel has sources that tell him the indemnity is dropped and now it’s a case of everyone hiding behind NDA’s

His sources are voices in his own head

Especially as most media have already said it can't themselves.
Makes it very easy for the Trust to issue a statement now though. Pretty much writes itself.

We call on Wasps to clearly state if there is any requirement for indemnity and if there is if it covers existing action and / or any potential future action.

We are lead to believe from comments made by Linnell on CWR that the EC complaint can be 'forgotten about' however can find no indication that this is the case. Can Wasps state if they believe this is the case and if so is this a condition they are placing on the clubs return.

So then the question becomes - if the indemnity clause has been dropped, why are wasps refusing to talk - if they say drop the legals - what legals?

We should complain to the broadcast standards organisation about this as it is so misleading and basically untrue... I have had so many arguments with my family about this whole situation because they take what is said in the local media as gospel. Cwr and the telegraph have an obligation to the people of Coventry to report acurate facts and not self furnishing bull shit

Edit... Complaint made in writing to ofcom via the BBC, let's see if they get back to me

I know but it's all I can think of trying to do the whole situation could be so helped if the local media did their jobs properly and in the end it's is plebs that suffer

Why do they keep cutting people off for random travel?
You're right. And then they bugger it up by playing football commentary .

He sounds almost annoyed these questions are being raised
certainly didn't like some of them! You could here him right from the start trying to talk over the very first caller making sure he only talked about what was on the cue cards.

You are hilariously batshit

Could’ve warned me I didn’t need to call up cos you had it covered!
You were fab and I didn’t want to monopolise stuff. Wished I’d said more about getting proof for the kicking the complaint into the long grass. Shouldn’t let it drop though and he’s waiting on a number of contacts coming back to him with information so I’m quite happy to keep working on the relationship

My text didn't either;
CW. Pete is trying to say that Eastwood has gone on TV misleading people into thinking "legals" can be dropped!... this is spin from him. He, you, others know that the EU complaint CANNOT be dropped/withdrawn!... ccfc also signed to say no legals against Wasps... SO WHAT DOES EASTWOOD WANT!?... something impossible to happen!? Or.... a bit of blackmail to "sweep it under the carpet"... which is pretty despicable really against OUR football club...Come on CWR... press them on this please!!! Paul.

Well done Pete and Smee though.
Call in coincides with my 1 and 4 year olds bedtime. Would certainly call in if I could... have done before when had chance. Linell entertained me on eve of season when I said I hoped Wasps got everything coming to them if EU complaint went against them and also how St Andrew's was different to Sixfields....

.....what's the betting that his info about "asking the complaint to be forgotten anout" (or however he worded it) has come from one of his "contacts"........... at the trust!!!! (After CJs tweet stated the very same that Wasps had told him"
I fond that for Wasps to be insinuating that this can happen is despicable and seems quite corrupt too....
