you really trying to use one 45 minutes for justification?
And based on your previous arguments surely it's 3 up front?!!

This is our best formation, and has led to arguably our 3 best performances of the season (v Colchester, last week, and so far this week).

If we had Baka/Max playing instead of Shipley/Westbrooke we wouldn't be anywhere near as comfortable.

Great first half but they look very dangerous when the ball is on our box, we need to go for another one to kill it off, otherwise we all know what will happen

Good half, really needed that 2 goal cushion. We need to go for the kill and not sit back, these are here for the taking.

P.s. would anyone take a draw? Just asking in case we fuck this up.

To draw/lose now would be heartbreaking.

Still feels like more goals in this. They’re gonna punt it in the box and fill it with players. Could work for them but will leave a lot of space for us to break.

It’s about agility isn’t it mate being able to tailor your approach accordingly...?

Also I thought your argument was this wasn’t 1 up front?

Give up haha

My argument is that whilst it is one designated striker, he has plenty of support and when on the ball in their half Shipley and Westbrooke are basically up front.

Your argument (or maybe not you, but certainly a lot of posters on here) is that it's one isolated striker up front, and a very defensive lineup.

Considering we're 3-1 up at half time away to the league leaders I'd say we're doing just fine and the formation is working perfectly well.

You need to use context, don't you think opposition is a factor? It won't work against every team.

Of course. And Robins has shown that he can, and will, change formation depending on the opposition as we have played 4 or 5 different formations this season.

But on the whole I feel like this is the best formation for the majority of games with these players.

When we've played two strikers we've struggled and teams have played through us. This is a good balance.
