Let's face it the game last night was nothing but a training session for both teams - Nothing more than getting some game time in the legs - Bakayoko has hardly played this season - how can anyone judge a player and be so critical when he's obviously rusty from not playing -

He wasn’t the best last season.

Yes but he hasn't had an injury like Biamou and missed most of last of last season.

Hmm he does seem to be the boo boy currently .....A lot of people do not seem to see that Jobello is pretty crap..... at least I thought he
was from his Oxford display - I am not showing that Baka has coverdd himself in glory this season far from it but Jobello seems exempt from criticism?
Baka has done more than him by far in terms of assists and goals.

Have to agree re Jobello. After his display at Oxford I would start him on the bench v Blackpool. High expectations from MR and fans but I don’t think he’ll deliver...

Because the jury is out with Jobello, only been at the club for two months , Bakayoko has had over a year at the club.

How many goals has Jobello scored - how many direct assists?
How many does Baka have and yet gets shitloads more criticism....

To be honest I'd have both on bench and get O'Hare in alongside Hiwula and Godden that would be quite a potent front 3....
Running like bambi on ice though seems to clearly have flattered to deceive for many though in case of Jobello ....fair enough!

So you agree, Bakayoko not in your front 3.

I agree with you regarding Hiwula "running like bambi on ice "

I think you've just found a nickname for him,

he doesn't flatter to deceive me !

He needs to improve his first touch, asap.

Agree Bakayoko not in front 3 in start xi though more of a threat off bench than say Jobello!
Hiwula would start form me all day over Jobello in that front 3
It is Jobello who seems to have fooled many!

Ok, but if Jobello doesn’t improve soon Robins will just leave him on the bench until he can get rid.

Jobello I expected a lot more after pre season reports he’s not as bad as Baka but he’s not far behind Kastanner looks in the same boat slightly disappointing from them so far after the hype made

Bakayoko has had over a year at the club and has never looked like being good enough. Jabello and Kastaneer are both new to the club , new to the league and new to the country. Going to have to give them until after Christmas to see if they improve enough.

Jobello is one of the top players in the league so far for chance creation (& expected assists, if you like those kind of stats)

Yes he drifts in and out of games which I think can give the impression of playing poorly, but he has a great cross and does make things happen.

Hitler made things happen but that doesn’t mean he was any good

What the hell is expected % assists what a load of rubbish!

How many of our goals has Jobello directly assisted with this season? I cannot think of many/any?

But what if a player creates loads of chances but the fault is with the striker not scoring them? His assists would look crap, but it wouldn't be his fault.

I'm not a big fan of xG or xC or whatever, but they can be useful in seeing where your deficincies lie. For example, last season so many people were blaming the defence/Burge for not reaching the play-offs, but the stats showed a lack of goals despite creating chances was a far bigger factor. The x figures backed that up - we were letting is roughly as many as expected, but we were scoring far fewer than we ought to have.

Coventry City boss issues ultimatum to misfiring star

Pretty brutal assessment from Robins here...reading that I don’t expect Bakayoko to be around for much longer

Although a lot of that criticism is warranted once again it does seen like MR has himself chosen a scapegoat. Before this he had a go at Biamou for not following instructions and has criticised Ponticelli after giving him less than 10 minutes on the pitch. However last season he was very reluctant to blame Chaplin and kept on asking for him to be given time to settle etc and Godden seems to be on that same trajectory at the moment.

Surely against MK Dons you've got to blame Hiwula too for missing the penalty. He's also missed glorious opportunities in previous games and has had more opportunities on the pitch than Baka.

However it is interesting that he said he's looking for another No.9 to play alongside Godden. However I reckon those in charge of the purse strings must be getting pretty tired of giving MR money for strikers that are consistently failing to score for us.

He really doesn't like him. It's like when he blamed him randomly for a goal against Walsall when Burge dropped a clanger.

He has just spent £750k on Godden who has some pretty bad misses to his name so far also.

I just think he’s a stupid footballer. No sign of any football intelligence in his game and therefore not able to develop his natural attributes. We obviously bought him with the intention to build on his physical foundations but he’s proved unable to so far.

Want him to succeed and do really well for us however i just don't think he's good enough, can't say he has a bad attitude though he does try

Yes, I and others on here have said for ages it's just a lack of heart and thought. Can you teach somebody some of the things he's missing?

I defended him from some of the criticism on here, which I thought was OTT and unfair. Then I saw him play and will say no more.

it’ll never change - you wonder if a new payment clause kicks in at 50 games - we won’t want to pay any more instalments for him

he’s a terrible signing
