Lee Gregory is still available on a free, was being looked at by premier league clubs a few years back.

Baffled by the not needing a striker post. The lowest scoring team in the top 6 (Doncaster) scored 76 goals last season - 22 goals more than us. It's the one area where we seriously struggled last season and why we failed at achieving a play-off spot. Our 'goals for' last season were actually relatively consistent with those who were relegated if you really want to put it into perspective.
I agree definitely need someone to consistently score gosls, how many games were we on top and gave it away because of lack of goals, had we taken our chances i would giess our goals against would be less too ....cost us big time

All today's action has left me completely exhausted.

Anyone else feel the same?
TBF Otis announcements are usually made towards the end of the day
Usually a medical is done in the morning then if he passes forms signed and lodged with the FA
Normally the club then releases the news once the FA has accepted the transfer of the player's registration

Yeah, I know.

Not not now expecting multiple ins and outs today still though are we?

I think it's Andy Turner who said that
Andy does normally have his ear to the ground
I haven't actually heard anything but I suspect we will see a couple of high profile loans
We have an outstanding record now of giving young players a chance so I reckon we'll be first choice L1 destination for Premier League clubs wanting to blood their best prospects

to be fair his post just said he was getting ready for another busy day... could have just been a general bus day for him, not city

Another Winger i believe :emoji_fingers_crossed::emoji_fingers_crossed:

Woo back to guessing!! You do make it much more fun ;)

Clearly you are just guessing (as you were with the Ricoh), and probably basing the guess of a Winger off of Panda's info, who said to expect one winger and one midfielder... you have a 50:50 chance!!

I'd agree but that isn't necessarily the be all and end all. What if Ponti is loaned out at League Two/National League and is successful? Considering strikers are in demand and factoring in Ponti's age, there's no doubt the club would receive a few decent bids for his services. So where's the value in selling him now? We may as well keep him for the time being see how he does with a full season under his belt first. Especially as the club has invested both time and money in developing him since he was brought in. Obviously if he doesn't perform or suffers another injury hit campaign then that probably would result in us moving him on, but to sell him now would just be pointless.

I think the main issue with Chaplin is that he doesn't seem to fit MR's style of play. That combined with his lack of form and his price tag, it's not that surprising that he's been written off but a section of our fanbase. I'm undecided to be honest. If we managed to receive a bid that matched what we payed for him then I certainly wouldn't object but if not, I'd keep him on.

It depends, if the team we loan him to pays all of his wages okay fair enough, if we are covering his wages it seems a waste... But agree if we can do that then there is nothing to lose.

To be fair styles of play change as do formations.
He didn't have a BAD season, just not what you expect. However I think he is defo worth sticking with, and i suspect will come good.
