Birmingham is a breeze for Coventry based City fans so would expect gates of perhaps 5000 average. Anywhere else like Burton for example, would be lucky to get 3,000.

I think that’s hugely optimistic but what do I know. Burton will be 2000 depending on away fans and Birmingham may be 3000. Lovely ground though st Andrrews.

We mix in different circles then, because I would say 99% of people I have asked have said they will not attend.

I will be very, very surprised if we get 5,000 in any groundshare scenario.

Some teams will bring lots - Pompey, Sunderland, Bristol Rovers/Ipswich etc. If it was at Blues ground I'd even expect a few locals too

Driving to Brum maybe, but the train is just a bit more of problem for many. I know someone said it is just a question of hopping on the train, but you have to get to the station. You have to park your car
somewhere or get a bus to get to the station.

If I could just walk to the train station it would be easy, but I would say it is probably a 40 minute walk.

Bus would be £4 I think (Daysaver). It just all adds time for fans and some fans don't have that much time. For many it is get to the ground, watch the game, get straight back home asap.

Nuneaton would be so much easier for me, because I can drive there in about 10 minutes.

Going to Brum I would have to be adding at least an hour and a half to 2 hours on to my normal footbaling day.

Could get a lift to the train station? Or if it’s that easy for you to get to Nuneaton, catch the train from there?

I reckon there would be about 10 minutes difference for you between going to Nuneaton and Birmingham anyway? (Unless you have now moved ;) )

You would think the club would look to subsidise car parking to encourage fans coming over

There are 300 parking spaces in the ground itself and car parks within a 10 minute walk

Still cost though, isn't it.

Look, I'd hope we'd learn from last time(!) and not pick apart peoples' decisions to go or not. There are factors which to some will be irrelevant, but an issue to others. It's fair to say there's a bit more inconvenience if you live in the city going somewhere other than the city. To some, that won't be an issue, to others, it will. That's all.

Exactly.

For the Ricoh I have no cost other than my ST. The time is a factor too.

I reckon two hours extra Brum.

10 mins bus X 2, 7 min walk to station X 2, train 22 mins X 2, walk to ground and back. Not sure exactly, but isn't it about 15 walk each way?

Drive to Birmingham in 20 mins?

You aren't getting from yours to Liberty Way in 10 minutes. It will probably take you about 20 minutes to Liberty Way and half hour to St Andrews. Straight down the A45.

Wow!

I have never, ever been able to do that. Nowhere close.

I live near the airport a minute from the A45

Always takes me more than 30 mins. Always hit traffic going into Birmingham. More like 45 mins.

I have got to Nuneaton in 8 mins, but have never, ever been to Liberty Way, so don't know how much further that is.

Must have been at least 15-20 times and it has never taken me less than 40 minutes. Always hit heavy traffic on the Birmingham Road, Brum end.

That's been Saturdays.

It's just A45 all the way to St Andrews?

Yes. That's the Birmingham Road isn't it? Or maybe I mean the Coventry Road.

Just the one road all the way. Always hit multiple traffic lights and queues Birmingham end.

You aren't going all the way into Brum.

You would get some nice traffic leaving Liberty Way on a Saturday too.

Either way, you are literally talking 10-15 minutes difference between them from where you are.

Do you even know where it is? It’s only 4 miles from the Toby on the island before the airport

The coventry road starts when the A45 ends and it’s 0.3 miles on the Coventry Road

Not going to argue with you, Nick.

I have never driven to Liberty Way and have never driven to St. Andrews. I have certainly been near Birmingham's ground before though.

Not worth arguing the toss over.

If we groundshare I am 99.9% certain I won't be going, so having a nitpicky argument over traffic and distance is just wasting everyone's time. :)

No I am just saying it really isn't that much difference :) I can understand if it was compared with Burton or something.

But your argument seems to be based on travel time so if the ground was at Ryton and just in the border I assume you wouldn’t go either.

Even the Butts or Highfiekd Road would take a long time to get to and exit from

Fine.

It's petrol cost too of course and parking.

Last time I went to St. Andrews in a car weh to pay some kids a fiver not to smash the car up while we were at the game.

Cost is massive factor for sure, so I couldn't say for certain I would go to Ryton, no.

I still have to go to Heartlands quite regularly, that takes me around 45 minutes each way from Warwick. I reckon St Andrews would add another 10 on to that. What about parking?
