Firstly, I don't care if you think SISU are to blame. I don't care if you think CCC, Wasps, or my cat are to blame.

Secondly, I'm not one to protest in a loud, shouty way. It's not my style, I don't want to.

Thirdly yes, I'm desperately hoping the Trust organise something so I don't have to embarrass myself as next to nobody comes along.

But... the club cannot leave the city with barely a whimper.

Of course it'd be better if the Trust organise something but, if that doesn't happen, what's the alternative? Naval gaze and wring hands? Complain there should have been some protest?

A protest could be massively embarrassing and counterproductive if nobody turns up but, the more people who say they will turn up, the more chance there is of it looking half-serious, and AS IF WE CARE. This is possibly our only chance to show this before it is too late.

Therefore, forget who organises it, forget what it will be. It's short notice but, in the absence of any alternative, who will be there at 3pm on Saturday?

I will be. I don't care who you are, what your viewpoint is. In the absence of anything better, please come along. I won't beg, I won't plead and, if you have prior commitments so be it but... if you can... please come along, help us look half-serious.

The fans are all we have, let's not argue about that - just commit to registering our shame that our club comes to this.

Out of interest, what time do w**ps Kick Off? Is it a 3pm kick Off? If so is a 3pm meet not a bit pointless as everyone will already be in the ground?

I'm not knocking you NW. Don't think I am. We've disagreed in an awful lot before. But I couldn't agree more with you now. Something needs doing. Anything.
A villa fan I work with today said "why are so many people from the city supporting/backing w**ps"? And this is the problem. The people of this city have allowed an outsider just walk in, unchallenged and force us out. I don't think a single set of fans from any other club would allow that.
His words (and I agree) "it's a bit embarrassing really isn't it"?!

Something needs doing and it needs doing now and loud and well supported.

Wouldn't the best idea be to print a load A5 flyers out and for City fans to hand them out to supporters attending the Wasps game?

Would need to be more of an appeal than having a go, highlighting the history and community aspect as much as anything else.

Apparently there are a fair few City fans who also go to Wasps.

Ok. 3pm meet it is then. What's the poa? Anti wasps? Pro CCFC? Just to be heard?
Currently, just to be heard as far as I can see, and pro CCFC. We do enough arguing over who's to blame here! We want the club to stay, we want to point out we hate the fact we might not be staying. We need people to see we're bothered by that!

We are where we are. It's by no means ideal, it's not what I want but - what else can we do?

Would be there if I could. Since going on holiday, all the city news yaw turned to shit & I’m still away Saturday. Fair play for starting it and I hope you get the turnout you, the team and the city deserves.

Yep.... I’m in.

Fed up with all parties but this remains our only outlet to be vocal and protest.

So don’t just sit at home or sit in the garden expecting someone else to act.....if you care..... turn up

Imagine if 1000’s turned up and did a sit in at the turnstiles.... national news if we did it

We are an apathetic lot.... we expect others to step up but then moan about it instead

I’ll turn out but I won’t hold my breath for others. 3pm suits me and I’ll do an hour until kick off.

We can all park at Tesco’s and take some time out of our busy days....let’s see what this club really means to people.

See you Saturday.... look out for me in my SI jumper and Aquascutum cap.

3pm JH statue.....combine it with picking up some Wasps under armour clobber if you need to... just turn up.

Sounds like a plan. I'll be there with my Matalan Gear. Hope that's acceptable:happy:

Worse still for me, cos not only will I be wearing Primark gear, but it will all still have all the labels attached, because I will be taking it back on Monday for a full refund.

Don't forget to take the security tags off your designer clothes before you leave:shamefullyembarrased:

I’ll come along but I think there needs to be a definite plan of what happens. Standing around in Sky Blue but with no plan of action is going to be a bit lame. I like the flyers idea.
I hope that all those calling for action at a Wasps game on other threads now commit to being there.

Yeah, it does need some sort of plan.

Well I'll be straight from work, so not even sky blue for me mate.

Problem with flyers us doing them right. Give me an hour before work and will see, but if no good, best not to do too many things badly!

It also needs someone who has a printer active enough...

With the notice being short, I actually have work to do(!) else I'd have a better chance to design a flyer - properly ;)

won't we need something to identify, a banner or something, otherwise we'll just look like a rabble hanging out near a casino.

And alright, but any software I have access to today registers it's been created at work. I'd rather not do that if it's all the same :D

If flyers *must* be done, then the city crest in shadow as background and words to the effect of

Coventry City fans may soon lose their club
The fans do not deserve to suffer
