Genie is out the bottle. The commission will investigate regardless now, we can’t withdraw the complaint.
Im struggling to see what wasps gain from us not being at the Ricoh. Lost rent, reduced sponsorship and sub let’s.
They have lost control of events now and other than spite what do they gain from this?
Probably missing something.
If you read some of the posts from OSB then the season in Northampton cost millions which Sisu had to cover, no doubt helped by player sales. I would imagine that Wasps are not blind to this and see it as their way of distressing Sisu in a way that Sisu are intent on distressing them with legal action. Neither obviously care about CCFC. The club are simply a pawn that both sides are using to get at the other.
Sisu knew exactly what they were doing by initiating these proceedings in Europe. The demise of our club will simply be collateral damage. I think any groundshare out of the City will see a huge fall off in gates which will have the obvious effect on Robin’s ability to conjure up a team able to compete in this league, let alone challenge. Given the length of time that this set of proceedings is likely to take before there is any resolution, what will be the state of the club and the team by the time it will be all over? What league will we be in? It may even suit Sisu’s finances if we slip further down the pyramid. I would imagine that it would cost a lot less to run a team in the National League or National North or South. Last time, ACL and the council had made it clear that they wanted the club back from Northampton. It was Sisu’s decision as to, if and when we returned. This time that decision is out of their hands and as long as the proceedings continue, we are likely to be at St Andrews or elsewhere with ever decreasing gates and ever decreasing hope.
The only smidgeon of hope is if by some miracle we could play at the Butts, if John Sharp could separate the desperate need of the club from the bunch of shysters that own us.
There is a well orchestrated campaign on here to heap all of the blame onto anyone but Sisu who are being portrayed almost as innocent victims. In truth they are the instrument that has brought all of this to pass ably assisted by CCC and Wasps. All of the ranting and raving at Gilbert, the telegraph and the Trust nicely diverts attention away the real culprits in all of this.
I would willingly join in with any protests organised against Wasps, or CCC as I have in the past against Sisu. The irony is that any of the protests against Sisu were met with a chorus of criticism and “what is the point” comments from many of the very people who now want protests against Wasps. It is telling looking at some of the threads where people are calling for a protest at the Wasps game on Saturday that so few of these people will say they would attend. They want others to protest for them?
Finally, as the Trust is such a poor representative body who are not following the wishes and views of the fan base, form a new one that actually does this. It simply needs some of the very disaffected and dissatisfied people on here to state a concrete venue, date and time to get things up and running. I would be willing to attend. Just lead the way.
